@Steven Strain Not odd at all. Whenever you are exposed to something first hand, you like it less. Just like local people of say south east asia or the caribbean, they don't really care for the beach as much as a tourist. It's been there and they've seen it all their lives, it's not exciting or appealing anymore. Europeans have always been comfortable and exposed to luxurious and high end things that they have become so desensitized to it. Reason why people from countries that have recently just become an economic powerhouse, like china, are the biggest luxury goods consumer today. I say this as an asian myself.

Hygge seems like it's degraded into one of those tourist-y words. Danes know hygge, they feel hygge, they didn't need to talk about hygge at all until nagging people across the pond discovered hygge and now need it sold to them in tidy packages. Now Danes are probably so sick of mentioning hygge that the chance to _not_ have to bring it up because of outsiders practically _is_ hygge.

Me, a Swede: Doesn’t Nicolaj claim he’s fighting against climate change?! Having TWO homes...?! _Flying_ all over the world?! That’s NOT sustainable. How are we ever going to solve the crisis if not even the climate advocates are willing to change their way of living, leading the way. Nicolaj shows there is no hope.
@caroline91125 жыл бұрын
@@magicforest71 ????? I'm sure it's more sustainable to buy a house than it is to fly back to Denmark every week or to stay in a hotel ????? If you want to blame famous people for living unsustainably, I don't think Nikolaj is the first person you want to accuse :) However, we've got to stop blaming people for not living 100% sustainable - no one does at this stage, no matter how dedicated they are.

@@magicforest71 I was not aware he is a climate change advocate but I'm sure if he could get there by electric bullet train or Tesla he would. Nikolai’s description of his home was by far the most interesting and engaging I have seen so far. Beautiful home!
@sdd15634 жыл бұрын
This is the most authentic and down-to-earth celebrity room tour I've ever seen. But the most interesting and striking feature for me was the kids' room. It was so plain and so simple. He said that his kids can add whatever they want. That's the most considerate yet such a revolutionary approach. I mean most parents would prepare the entire room before the baby comes and the parents will decide whether the baby will get blue, pink or yellow. But in Nikolaj's approach, the kids get to build their own memories and add them to their rooms on their own. Radical!
