Recently bought a Slick stick 35lb. Been shooting a Bearpaw Blackfoot 40lb, which i love, but oh wow! the Slick stick is something else! Never shot a bow that feels so right from the word go, fast, quite smooth and accurate, after only 2 days it felt like part of me, Ill never part company with this bow, absolutely love it! Armins review above was what made me try one, and so glad I did, and agree with everything in the review . I shoot Field and 3d;s and this bow is perfection!

Greetings, I just ordered a slik stik today, 40 #@28", I already have a slik stik 50#@28", but my draw is abit more, it took me awhile to learn my bow, it's the fastest bow I ever shot, but I am learning everyday, can hit whatever I'm aiming at anyways, I practice whenever I can, whenever it's not raining, lol, I know that new bow will help with my aiming ,not so hard to draw back ,n, hold for a good shot, it'll be a hoot ,I know that for sure,I've shot my 50# bow for bout 5 yrs. now, can't wait to drop down to 40# slik stik, shooting 500 spline arrows with 125 field n broadheads, the bow seems to like this arrangement, keep the vids coming, their very informative, luv it shakyjake out.

I bought this as my first bow. This review helped a lot. Thank you! Advice on arrows? The shop that sold it suggested 600 spine carbon arrows (which I bought) but other suggestions are 700+ spine. I bought Goldtips traditional which 600 is the least stiff? Advice? 30 pound bow!
@ArminHirmer6 жыл бұрын
according to common spine charts, 700spine would be better. But I used 600 too. Simply see if the arrow flies straight. If you feel it is too stiff, change to heavier tips

Hi Armin, so far I am only shooting traditional horse bows with thumb draw. But I want to get into Mediterranean style too. I think the slick stick is a good choice for that. For thumb draw I use 30 pounds bows. Should I go with 30 for Mediterranean as well or 35 to 40 pounds?

My 45# Slick Stick is a bit stronger as signed. With my draw lenght of 27 1/2" i ve 47,3# on my fingers. It´s the perfect power for me. Pretty fast, but not to hard to pull - so i can shoot a day long on the parcours without getting tired. I ve paid 278,- € for it - bought it directly where Henry Bodnik and his Team produce the Bows. Tryed many of the Longbows - i would have bought the wonderful Raven Longbow with 50# - but it cost 590,- € and the speed was exactly similar to the 45# slick stick. So the decision was not really hard for me. :)

I got the Blackfoot and like it a lot. I'm reticent to purchase any more because of their retailer here in the USA. They are horrible. After they forgot about me for a couple months, the bow was delivered poorly packaged and damaged. Also, missing the bowstring and shelf pads. If they don't get a different representative here, they are not going to do well in the USA.

Because of this review, I bought this bow less than a year ago, and I absolutely love it. However, 2 days ago it snapped in the upper limb area. It was not through any neglect on my part - I took excellent care of it. I am trying to have it repaired/replaced by warranty, but I am wondering if you have any advice.
