An in-depth analysis of an Archery Bowsight instead of a release aid this time. I put the Dialed Arxos under the microscope and try to provide some information to help you decide if it is worth the pricetag.

Very good and honest review. I’d like to add… I just returned from a spot and stalk pronghorn hunt using this sight. After many stalks, and banging this sight all around, it held up flawlessly, honestly.

That's good to hear. There isn't much to it that can fail, and it should be able to take punishment; considering it's aimed at hunters. Thanks for watching 👍

Thank you. Looks like Dialed took the concept and ran with it. Recycling old ideas and claiming it's new and revolutionary happens more often than it should.

I think they’ve continually updated the sight and that it now does have a lock for the wheel. However a commenter under Haxen Hunt’s recent review suggests it rarely - if ever - works. Also, there’s a funny moment in his video where he hits the top of the sight repeatedly to prove it has a working wheel lock as he says “this doesn’t budge at all” or some such, while the sight clearly bumps down with each hit. He says in the comments the lock wasn’t on, but I wonder. So I wish you had an updated sight to show us the fantastic wheel lock.

Thank you for watching. The tensioner on the display models at TAC Seven Springs behaved the same way, so if they're making incremental changes, they don't seem to be announcing them. I'll have to start looking around to see find what they're changing. Thank you. I will follow up on that in Part 2.

You mentioned the spothogg tommy hogg by accident it seems. That one has micro elevation adjustment. (same as the Hoggfather, but direct mount) That said, I'm sticking to my Hoggfather for the foreseeable future because imho, it's the ideal hybrid. (I did put a UV3 scope on it though)

Thank you for watching and for the clarification. I never got my hands on one, so I wasn't aware they put that feature on the Tommy Hogg.

From Haxen Hunt’s review: m.kzbin.info/www/bejne/qoq9p56Pd9KMhtk 2:10 In a shocking divergence to normal-naming-of-things the “wheel tensioner “ we speak of is called the “dial break?” 6:50 his hilarious defense of said “dial break” where he says it does not move while he hits it and we can see it doesn’t work (or maybe he forgot to set it, as he responds in the comments). In other news, I really appreciated your detail of your own shot process and analysis of Joel Turner’s shot IQ in the Onnex C video - thank you.

@@sorenjackson4768 thank you for the link. I'll check that out. Thank you for watching my other videos as well. I'm glad you found them useful. I think I'm going to start touching on various things related to form and shot execution, and see if I can come at it from a different angle or add things that may be known but not yet spoken 👍.

I had one of these for a month last fall. Loved the sight for the first two weeks, then it went downhilll and the wheels started coming off. 1. Cerakote was horribly done,, agree go back to anodizing, 2, The brake did not work at all, 3. The sight started adjusting itself after shooting, 4. , the horrible screw sizes break way to easy, poor choice, 5. the rgub screw marked the crap out of the rail, 6. I couldn't run with my sight tapes on the outsite. 7. The angled rail is a waste of time. Might have gained 5 yds, it is not worth it. 8, The fit and finish was just badly done, 9 third axis is horrible done. 10second axis was a pain 11. rheotstat cover got really loose. I think they have fixed a lot of these issues, however the sight is not worth what they are asking, I returned it at the 27 day mark fairly certain they just stopped answering my emails as I kept having other issues. I'd try another one, but from what I have seen and the sheer amount of them for sale on archery talk to me is not a good sign. Its the same with the DCA vanes over hyped, and it doesn't. do anything beyond what the normal vanes do, and yes i tried them as well and sent them back.

I hope they make efforts to correct these issues and, hopefully, make them available to customers who are interested in sending their sights back to be updated. Otherwise there are going to be a bunch of sights in circulation and no one is going to know what they're going to get. It would probably behoove them to let people know what they're fixing, cuz I keep hearing they're listening and making changes, but I haven't done anything direct from the company. I'm gonna discuss that in Part Two. Anyway, thanks for watching and for the detailed comment 👍

@@ajbholsters2035 yeah, they are not very good with comm's in my opinion, seems they were putting up the videos at the time to instagram instead of having them listed on the site and hosted on youtube like most companies. I also found the product needed substantial improvements to justify the pricing. I liked it the first two weeks, until the wheels fell off. There already is a pile of sights in circulation in the classifieds on Archery Talk, see them all the time. IT is a sight your either a fan boy of or you hate it. I fell in btw, was excited to try something new as I couldn't get a new sight at the time without waiting for a year (axcel landslyde, grrr). I made it 27 days and sent it back once they stopped commenting back to me the issues. Looking forward to Part 2!!

… I bet their wheel lock has a great name too - “featuring void wheel anti-gravity slip-n’-slide lock technology (tm).”

"Hidden Bolt Design, Ensures Zero Confusion" That's straight off the website with no explanation. It's definitely going to be mentioned in Part Two 🤦. Correction: I'm not sure if that's what they're referring to when they say "hidden bolt design". They're probably talking about the actual fasteners holding the sight together. I can't find the name for the tensioner on the website at all. It was just too awesome to give it a name, I suppose. Maybe it's in the videos. I'll have to check the manual when I get home.

@@ajbholsters2035 what do you think of Mathews Bridge Lock sight?
@ajbholsters2035
@ajbholsters2035 5 ай бұрын
@@zer0875 do you mean the Bridge Lock mounting system? I think the only useful purpose to mounting the sight into the center of the riser is to make room for a low-profile bow-mounted quiver. The rest is highly dependent on the rest of the bow's setup. Sights also aren't designed to be positioned in front of the riser (their windage range is designed with a specific location in mind) so they either have to be redesigned or employ the use of an offset that puts the body of the sight in the same spot it would have sat if it had been bolted to the side of the riser. Eventually they'll make sights that are made for the Bridge Lock, CORE, or Picatinny mounts, but they're not there yet. I don't know if that's what you were asking, but if it wasn't, please let me know.

@@zer0875 ah, gotcha. I haven't seen it in real life, but it's made by Axcel, so it's going to be of a high quality of fit and finish. I own a number of their sights and their reputation is well-deserved. As for releases, that's a tricky question. I can make recommendations based on type (wrist, thumb, hinge, resistance) and price point. If you could let me know your preferred type, your intended application (hunting, target, or both) and the most you are looking to spend, I can recommend a few.

im talking about the 12 tiny pin tensors not the dial lock they are on everything very small there is absolutely no slop if you know how to adjust not very in-depth
@ajbholsters2035
@ajbholsters2035 5 ай бұрын
Yeah, I covered those in my Part 2 video and I watched the video on the website on how to adjust tension. They are an "all or nothing affair" and they demonstrate in the video on their website that a very small amount of adjustment is the difference between being very stiff and very loose. If they had a spring between the set screw and bits that fit into the tracks, they would be more effective.
