First time I see a guy that ties the loop the right way!! Good!
@danw77306 жыл бұрын
I always put some serving string above and below. Not to keep the loop from moving but if something happens and i need to replace my d loop in the field, then I know where my nocking points are. Without them, I would only be guessing.

The D Loop is too small to accommodate the trigger release without the tip of the knock interfering. Please explain!

LOL took me 10 trips to the basement where my bow is but finally got it. Thanks great Vid
@plintu38 жыл бұрын
this was helpful except that you said you need "some string material" so should I use thread? twine? cotton string? you should elaborate that it should be some paracord or something if someone uses the wrong "String material" they could have a premature release, possibly hurting or killing someone

two questions brother , is a metal D-loop/ring better or worst for everything ? can you use the smaller paracord the 350# i think for making D-LOOP ?

Great video, very helpful. 1 question, I have seen people use thin cord to ensure the arrow nock does not move around on the string. This goes inside the D loop. Is that a necessary step or do you just need the D loop?
@outdoorproductreview9 жыл бұрын
Gettysburg2013 I never use one. If you install it like I showed, you should not have a problem.

Im an amateur archer but do you need to have this whenever you use a compound bow with a caliper release?
@outdoorproductreview7 жыл бұрын
No if you have a claw type release you can put it below the nock. However, that creates torsion on the string. I suggest trying this loop. practice and come back and watch this as many times until you get it right!! Thanks

What about single cams where you nock an 1/8" high
@outdoorproductreview9 жыл бұрын
NY HUNTERGUY I always set up my bows the same. Single cam or dual cam. If you choose to go higher, you might not get the tear when or if you paper tune it that you want.

I have a problem with my recurve bow, after stinging it, the string "falls off". It is a Bear, Grizzly and it's marked 56" #48, which I have no idea what is it. Please an advise, I'm new to it, thanks.
@outdoorproductreview9 жыл бұрын
+ronin4711 You might have a bent limb on your bow. Some recurves can actually develop a warped limb from being strung all the time or stored somewhere where it is hot. I would recommend that you take it to a shop to have them look at the limbs.
@ronin47119 жыл бұрын
Someone mentioned that as a possible problem. Thanks.

ronin4711 no problem.

+Outdoor Product Review It seems that I have a slightly bent (1/8") limb. How/what can I do to fix this?
@outdoorproductreview9 жыл бұрын
+ronin4711 Well unfortunately not much. You can see if you can get it steamed and pressed back into place, but you might be better off buying a new bow. Did you buy the bow new? If so, check on the warranty and see if you can get it replaced.

Do you really need to burn the ends of that D loop, or can you tie knots and super glue them?
@outdoorproductreview10 жыл бұрын
Burning them makes them bigger. Super glue has acid in it and you can actually damage the serving and string.
@mattmanbrownbro10 жыл бұрын
Ohhh. I'm glad I asked about it then. Thank you

What size string did you use Thanks

Search on Ebay for String loop material. That is where I get mine. :)
@calzoee10 жыл бұрын
Did you use a smaller size paracord?
@outdoorproductreview10 жыл бұрын
No that is BCY string loop material. You can purchase that at an archery shop or any archery dealer online.
@glennloyd6710 жыл бұрын
D-loop or string loop material actually is small paracord
@shaneberkness212410 жыл бұрын
painter_G Actually it isn't. Paracord has a way higher break strength than d-loop rope, you probably won't use this on a parachute would you and if you do you will die a horrible death.

One Problem Im having, I have new Pse Decree. The book that came with the bow is calling for the nocking point to be place threw the middle of the burger hole too. But Im using a Qad drop away rest and the arms will not set flush on the arrow riser. so I had to move the nocking point up. Is that okay?
@outdoorproductreview10 жыл бұрын
On some of the bows the rests forks do not touch the shelf. This is ok. The most important thing you want is the nocking poing correct. If the forks don't touch the shelf, that is fine. Otherwide, you will never get your bow to shoot broadheads correctly.
@tripleb21289 жыл бұрын
Call QAD they have special launcher that is cut deeper specifically made for pse bows they sent me one for free. Just call and tell them you have the QAD rest and having issue getting rest to tune with a arrows through berger holes on your pse.

I have been watching a lot of how to videos on nock placement and I have noticed that not everyone is putting the arrow as it relates to the burger button hole in the same place. Some are putting the bottom of the arrow to the top of the hole and some are dead centering the arrow over the hole . What is the correct place over the burger button .
@outdoorproductreview9 жыл бұрын
justliketolook I always place the arrow directly in the center. That is where the cam turn over point is. I only want to see the top of the hole.

Are all bow strings made up of 2 strings?
@outdoorproductreview8 жыл бұрын
+TheBlimpAssassin the strings are two colors that are made from many individual strings. A bow string is not just one or two strings..
