I love your honest opinion review. It's obvious you don't push Salesman BS just simply your opinion. I based several purchases I made only after watching your opinion and I'm in the US. Not EVERY product is the best and when I see videos people put out wheee every product is the best I start questioning there motive. Darron's have been great bows recently. Your assessment as why I personally would go to different model or brand is spot on. It boggles my mind that manufactures don't listen to the dealers. The dealers are the people that are selling the product and talking to the public. Great to see your healthy you look fit kudos to you and you and a new year.

I ordered my darton consequence 2 from america when it was first released and got mine months ago. Brilliant bow for price , very smooth draw especially for someone like me with a bad shoulder. The 70 is like drawing a 50. Build quality in bearings and other parts are better than many overpriced flagship bows. Can shoot groups at 90 to 100 yards with spot hog sight. Very stable in hand but one problem is its top heavy and needs a decent stabilizer. Overall better than any bow at that price range.

I bought the darton consequence 2 (50-60) lbs two months ago as a beginner, I chose it following the many positive reviews and I confirm all the positive points noted, on the other hand it is largely possible to have 20 lbs of adjustment so this negative point is to be removed. It is also very solid because I did not spare it with a few careless errors ... I ordered it from an archery shop that did not know this model who recognized the quality of this bow. I regularly shoot grouped at 18 and 20 meters and started at 40 meters I watched a lot of your videos (objective or not) what is true is that all the bows are at the level of the one who uses them and that you have to train to progress and as in many sports you have to be very good to appreciate the differences in high-end equipment. This bow is tolerant and precise, when I shoot well it is in the center, what more could you ask for Currently I am set to 26.5" / 50 lbs / let off 75% / mod perf Happy New Year to you
@Blackeagles_Nest4 күн бұрын
The riser is powder coat not paint. The bow has about 18 pounds of adjustability seven full turns on the limb bolt. The draw length goes out to 31 1/2. BH is 7.5”
@garymickus64124 күн бұрын
Wow! Your specs are very different from Archery Supplies.
@Steve-kd2bg2 күн бұрын
@@Blackeagles_Nest yeah there was alot left out of this review . The original darton consequence had a cast riser, the consequence 2 which is in his hand is a forged aluminium riser. The 2 also has speed mods and different stoppers. It was a bit of a misleading review. The cams and limbs are the same as the sequel he keeps talking about and the list goes on. Been a hunter for 30 years and the consequence is a good bow for a 29 axle to axle bow.
@garymickus64124 күн бұрын
It seems the deal breaker is the narrow range of adjustment. I can understand the beginner not being able to pull the full weight, appreciating the 20# reduction in draw weight.

@tknx59095 күн бұрын
The Consequence was a great deal. So what did they do? Discontinued it and made a more expensive one.
@Konschinator4 күн бұрын
I believe there is more than two costomer groups. 1, new to archery or 2 top end consumers. What about people who want to upgrade a 15 year old bow and dont want to spend $3000. In comparison the darton was $750 in my Canada and the Mathews lift x29 is $1800.
@ArcherySuppliesLonsdale4 күн бұрын
In Australia some companies like Mathews and Hoyt are crazy cheap in Australia. I think Mathews run special pricing for Australia. In Australia the top end bows vary from 1800-2000 Australia. So in US dollars we are 62c and we have a 10% tax. So the top end bows are between $1000 and $1100 US.
@sagrieff5 күн бұрын
According to the info you put on the screen this bow draw length adjusts out to 31.5 inchec, but you are saying that the terrain is the only one that does.
@ArcherySuppliesLonsdale4 күн бұрын
Yes a good point. longer draw bows are normally longer. There are not many bows which do 31.5"
@KW-gm5og4 күн бұрын
I see a heap of speed buttons on the string, it looks like 24 in total. Do they really make a difference?
@ArcherySuppliesLonsdale4 күн бұрын
Very little one of the kids in the shop did a school project testing it as different spacing and weights. From memory you gain upto 5 fps. I think it reduces the left to right string movement and creates more force leading in to the release of the arrow.
@michaelpoplawski32465 күн бұрын
I was pretty impressed by the Consequence when I tried it out after seeing some of the reviews and seeing a post from a local pro shop owner. It's a shame that the Australian price is so high, as it's a well built bow without all the plastic composites in the Drive and the Terrain.
@ArcherySuppliesLonsdale4 күн бұрын
It will be a pricing issue something like other manufacturers take of the USA tax or they have a wholesale price.
@kengunnett20175 күн бұрын
I think the Prime Archery Ronan (34 in.) is a better hunting bow, with the RVX series (32\34\36) better. With some Prime bows you get free strings every 2 years. Primes have better balance. 10 pounds of adjustment isn't that bad of things if you know what you want to shoot. My RVX36 is setup for target and I shoot it at 52#. The RVX36 will go to 31.5 inches.
@ArcherySuppliesLonsdale4 күн бұрын
In Australia the RVX sells for $2000 making it the same price or higher than others top end bows. In the USA the RVX is a mid priced bow so yes very interesting as a mid priced bow.

Yes I did not even consider it for the longer people due to the ATA.
@robertwicklander308716 сағат бұрын
So the thing that makes this bow so great is that it has zero reflex, a seven inch brace height and its a forged riser not cast like the other two. Add in the wide limb stance, flagship quality limb pockets, 1/4 inch axles, speed and comfort mods, and 87% and 80% string stops. Its a short flagship. Not the best as far as adjustability but thats not what this is made to be. Compared to everything else in the mid range category this feels and shoots much better for an extra 1-200 bucks. Now the sequels are absolutely worth the extra money but the 35 wont fit very well in my ground blind!
@juanantonioespinosa88165 күн бұрын
This bow's specifications match exactly what I look on a bow for close range hunting purposses. Everything is perfect except for these 2 pieces for the independent yoke sistem. I don't like that and that's why i've not bought one yet.
@tonyallen86265 күн бұрын
You forget to mention the new tuning features that darton has, any bow that doesn't need a press to paper tune is a massive deal, i get that most Australian archery shops don't paper tune, probably because they don't know how And the reason it got the vote over the other bows is because they can tune the bow themselves PS that bow does have the tuning features on top of the limbs.
@michaelschnitzer40545 күн бұрын

Maybe these bows were pushed more than other budget bows by “reviewers” because they can be shipped directly to the consumer from a bow shop in the USA, meaning more money in the pockets of those who say they are the best budget bow…
@ArcherySuppliesLonsdale4 күн бұрын
Yes. Darton was sending them one at a time. Which was crazy as we have fixed import charges which killed me. But yes in the USA I can see how that would be great.

Steven you give very biased reviews when doing Darton reviews. You are obviously not happy with your past transactions with Darton. Side by side Darton and elite are well made. PSE cuts corners. I have two broken PSE bows. High end Q.C. issues. I think Darton is spot on this year. The Consequence is spot on.... and just so you know I am not biased. I shot a Bowtech and an Elite. Randy is taking Darton in the right direction. After shooting this year's models Darton very well will probably be my next purchase. Stop putting your personal dealings with Darton in your videos and focus on the bow.

I don't even pick up my PSE anymore after owning my Consequence, not even a comparison as far as quality goes. I feel the shooting experience is tons better too but that can be subjective. Quality isn't subjective.

Actually I think the dealings is what customers complain about or want the most. If there is a problem, how fast will they ship, how often are there problems. I sold Darton for years with no issues. The service was great, Mike remains a good friend. Ron who was sales manager passed away about 2 years ago. His family contacted me. It is like a big family. Sevice is everything. When you have a problem how fast will it be fixed, how fast will a new product come in. How does it compare in the market.

Dude he actually said it was the better bow of the three but it's harder for him to sell because of the Australian price point, that's not biased at all

I equate bow shop owners with comic book store owners. Sure, there's a market there, but I'll never listen to either of them. Seems that better bows are coming from elsewhere so why bother with cheap overpriced junk from the US.
@ArcherySuppliesLonsdale4 күн бұрын
I think the USA bows are amazing quality. As are most of the world bows today. As a shop owner or the comic book store owner (I wish) most of my day is dealth with fixing people problems for free. 4 bows today derailed or dry fired. It is a customer service industry with no money associated. It is all done for free. I had a young Asian girl yesterday. Her setup was $250 So I make $20. Took me over an hour to setup the bow teach her how to shoot. It is a business you do because you love it. Im not sure if that is why a comic book guy does it. When I was in Canberra my club had 100 members, We had 20 kids going to a Nationals a full team. That club now has 4-6 members and there are a handful of kids shooting in the State. Membership in all clubs in this State has never been higher. You see the same people regularly you see them grow, become better, stronger. Im not sure a comic book store is anything like that. Today I had James working - you see James on videos. He is Australian Champion the development is amazing. His father said it is amazing how he is growing in confidence. He is 14 he now has confidence with customers. It is a really nice feeling seeing people grow.

I used to love your videos but you're so biased in favor of pse I honestly can't listen to your opinions anymore. If it's not pse you don't like it and if it is pse you can't see anything wrong with it ever. The only negative thing I've ever heard you say about pse is their production line and getting product out.
@ArcherySuppliesLonsdale4 күн бұрын
Well you need to watch all my videos. Many PSE bows have fallen apart, all filmed and released. I have had many shocker PSE reviews, many times. In fact probably the reason I lost my exclusive PSE dealership. My sales in PSE are a fraction of what they were. A few years back PSE made 90% of my business now a small percentage. What I always say is I want draw length adjustment and tunning. A good grip and price point. If anything Elite and Bowtech have all the features, The new Darton is interesting, which I will review soon. I think it ths review the PSE top end bows are the closest in price to the Darton but then you need to question for the extra $100 or so do you get a bow with everything.
@tcnarber13 күн бұрын
Uhhhh, I think all his reviews are pretty spot on. For years PSE meant a top of the line bow. But something happened. PSE was left with other technologies, and they were still just thinking speed only. Eventually the market left PSE behind. Pete was an innovator but decades in any business takes its toll. PSE eventually sold, and I don’t see a path forward unless PSE does something that the market is addressing, consumers being more equipped to work on their own bows concerning tuning, because most won’t want to invest in a press. Changing strings still requires a press, but other aspects are getting more consumer friendly.
