I like the reliance pro from topoint it is my first compound. It was the reliance or the breth. But reliance feels bether for target shooting. Realy happy with my topoint.

Nothing wrong with a starter grade bow. Lots of people just can’t afford $1500+ bows. Still learn the correct basics and if it shoot the same way over and over that will be great.

You're not wrong about America giving up on the beginner market and in many ways the mid range market. These Chinese bows have come on in leaps and bounds and made archery affordable for many people. Give China another 5 years or so and they could take over the market, just better quality control and better strings and after market service.
