I'm in the UK in 1982 we had our fourth child she was 17 days overdue (as were all.my chikdren) , she was a big baby almost 9 pound, it wasn't until breakfast time that she was taken for a bath(so they told me) but I learned later a nurse on the ward noticed she was blue (I didnt) i only had one hold of her during her time of birth and when she was taken for he bath! I had a dr come to see me saying she was in scpu ,I said no she having a bath ! But it turned out she was taken to scbu . I called my husband to come back ,and I was horrified when we went up to see her she was struggling to breath I ran out! I couldn't stand to see it. During that day she went to theatre had a external pacemaker put in,and was ventilated, day two everything failed ,but she came throught that, but at 17 days she fell asleep ,she developed pneumonia prob due to infection as she had lines in ,they were reluctant to take them out as she was as stable as she could be at the time. . We love and miss her 💕
