Coming in hot.. today all about building awareness, mobility and strength in arching acrobatics key positions.
We focus on creating a solid arch throughout the whole body, connecting a push into the floor via feet and shoulders. This practice over time will benefit an Acrobatics learning process greatly.
1. One Arm Bridge
2. Ipsilateral Hovers
3. Ipsilateral Holds
4. Contralateral Hovers
5. Contralateral Holds
6. Armswipe Application
If too hard, hold on to object or place hands on elevated surface. If too easy, raise feet on table or invert against a wall.
Perform 3-5 sets of two variations per session (bridge to warmup then select another one) which you can hold for about 10-15 seconds. Ipsilateral versions could transform into forward cartwheels, Contralateral versions into Reversaos, Helicopteros etc. All of them will benefit all arching acrobatics though.
Use as warmup (2 sets) or as a finisher (-5 sets). Breathe easy, reach tall!
