Arguably they transcended when they released Ruin. They got a lot of hate at the time from straying away from the technical "mathcore" sound of Nightmares, I remember Tom saying at the time (2007) that anyone who didnt like them changing their sound from the Nightmares album should F off. haha. I mean, people were mad at metallica in '84 for releasing fade to black, as it was too much like a ballad. Its common for bands switch or blur their "genre" from time to time.

@@JD_13 because thats what being a musician is . im not one. but being stuck within a genre is diffrent than developing and learn about what you can do to improve always. and every human knows that.

@MegaUltimateHD3 жыл бұрын
@@alexanderparkman4531 why?
@alexanderparkman45313 жыл бұрын
@@MegaUltimateHD coz the band was Tom. He wrote everything, from drums to lyrics. Every album from day 1 was his making, he experimented like they are now with 'here and now', but Tom himself said he was dissapointed with it and even Sam said LF/LT was finally distancing themselves from the 'car crash' (his quote) that was that album. Tom got back on track basically. AGHAU was a similar more refined LF/LT and then he dies...(a literal hero of mine). Doesnt take much to hear HH is not good enough coz Tom is no longer writing stuff. So the band then stop going down the path Tom set out because simply they are not good enough to continue it (which is a testimant to Tom, not a shit on the band). I dont care if the band now make different music, but please dont brand it as Architects, as that was Tom and should rest with him. Rebrand it, dont taint the legacy he left behind. Going on the standard LF/LT, AGHAU was and the direction of it, theres no way Tom would have written the current album... this album doesnt sound like Tom at all. Not saying you cant like it, but its clearly not the architects he had in mind
