My condolences bro. This is very powerful stuff. It has always been my favorite song of theirs. What’s crazy is Tom was still making music and touring while he was sick and no one had any idea. It made him work that much harder. He was the main song writer and wrote those albums foreshadowing his death and tried to leave his fans his wisdom while sharing his fear and pain. Once he passed all his songs had completely new meaning when his illness was revealed. I couldn’t have more respect for Tom and his band. If you want something really special that will wreck you, check out “Memento Mori lyric video Tom Searle tribute” off channel. It’s about reflecting on his life and preparing for his death. It’s truly life-changing.

It's quite eerie when you listen to the lyrics knowing Tom wrote them. "A sickness with no remedy, except the ones inside of me". Given his stage 4 melanoma and his white blood cells being his last line of defence, you can't help but feel that he wrote this and other records off the album as his swan song.

This is one of my favourite songs, full stop. But recently it's taken on a whole new meaning for me. My best friend has been diagnosed with a rare form of cancer that will never be completely treated. So all of Architects newer songs hit home pretty hard, but this one is the one they have used to pay tribute to Tom in gigs. I know it's not even close to what you've been through with your Mum but I can really understand your pain right now. I am a big time architects fan and my grandmother passed away 17september from cancer in her throat, she was only diagnosed in june. About 2months ago i went to an architects show me beeing a 28y old guy and after this song i cryed for about half an hour on my best friends shoulder. This song made me think about the whole sickness and the proces and howfast it took my grandmother from me. Sam carter came to us and asked what was going ona nd when i told him, he got a bit sad and he was also happy that their songs brought up such strong emotions with people. I told him it was prob the best show i saw in ages
