I'd say probably because those screams are very tiring and tough to perform live. He hits some pretty damn high notes in the opening of the studio version of this song. I was still very surprised he gave all he had on the "Holy hell, I've got nothing left to lose. And I can tell there's gold buried in the blue." part. Sounds pretty damn awesome!

I reckon the next album will have more lows and clean vibrado debut. Sam says in interviews that he learns on tour how his voice works and it seems pretty clear that he (and the whole band) just keeps progressing and improving. Its cool that he has the low vox treat up his sleeve for live gigs though. Maybe the album's have more heart without lows too. Lows sound more brutal.
