We are beggars. We are so fucking weak. And once upon a time we had the world at our feet. Well we're all dying to meet our maker, But all our Gods have abandoned us! All our Gods have abandoned us! This is the great esoteric depression. We sold our souls but couldn't buy salvation. We are all the shades of misery. The reigning champions of tragedy. They use their faith as a weapon, they count our sins by the seven. Blackwater at the gates of heaven. All hail the corporatocracy. The word of God written in binary. All hail our apostasy, The dying notes in an unholy symphony. Blegh! All our Gods have abandoned us! This is the great esoteric depression. We sold our souls but couldn't buy salvation. I found God clutching a razor blade. He said: "Look at the fucking mess they've made. They'd trade their hearts if they were made of gold." We are beggars. We are so fucking weak. In case this is your first time hearing this album, I'll get the obvious out of the way. These crazy motherfuckers ACTUALLY fucking topped LF//LT. Thank you, Architects. Album gets 9 BLEGHS! out of 10.
@jay_ender8 жыл бұрын
I love your comments bro haha.
@havoren7 жыл бұрын
I heavily disagree with you on this album topping LF//LT. While this is a much HEAVIER release than LF/LT, it doesn't have as much thought out songwriting has LF//LT did. It's not as catchy and memorable as that album either, but that's mostly because #1 they're continuing the similar sound of LF//LT in this album and #2 their ideas on how to write individual unique standout songs while using this sound is starting to wear a bit thin (take a look at songs like "Phantom Hourglass" and "From The Wilderness", you may think that those songs are catchy and stand out right now but try listening to them 10 years later and tell me that those songs aren't just filler). Regardless of that, this album is still a fucking fantastic disc and actually makes 2016's metalcore a bit less depressing so I got to give them props for doing their best to help prevent metalcore from becoming a 100% complete joke of a metal sub-genre.
@marianolaferte63337 жыл бұрын
CANCER was fucking heavy, imagine Broken Cross
@havoren7 жыл бұрын
+Mariano Laferte LF//LT definitely has a couple VERY heavy songs, but not as many as the ones from AOGHAU. Broken Cross and CANCER are definitely two perfect examples of how brutal Architects can be in LF//LT, but then you get songs like Colony Collapse and A Distant Blue to a certain extent which have a lighter feel to them. Even Gravedigger and Castles In The Air don't really come close to being a heavy as songs like Nihilist or Gravity. Or maybe I'm wrong, who knows. They all sound pretty similar to me in the end.
@havoren7 жыл бұрын
At least we can ALL agree on one thing, The Shadow Of Doubt is heavier than all the songs on both albums lol.
@somebody7868 жыл бұрын
I've followed this band since Sam first joined the band and they have consistently gotten better and better with time.
