Archival Storage and Enclosures for Books and Documents

Libraries and archives make use of protective
enclosures to safeguard their collections. These
archival storages are supposed to work as a barrier
against acidic materials and to add extra support
against further damage.
This video and associated poster will focus on
showing the making of basic archival enclosures for
books and pamphlets.

Thank you. I thought of making one for the important family documents and my own personal writings or memoirs I'd like tk preserve and hopefully found by future predecessors❤😆

I have a couple personal documents to hold onto. Some of them are a little bit yellowed and a couple have a coffee stain on them. I find that a scanner in black and white mode does a good job of filtering that out. The downside is if you did any highlighting it filters that out too. That is the only scanning mode that does that. I think it is nice because then I have a digital copy of it before it aged or became stained. I don't really need archival prints of them since I back them up on multiple storage devices. It couldn't hurt really. They are of no importance to anyone but me so I really only need them to last as long as I live.
