Archival Post- Extinct Chuck E Cheese Animatronic Characters! Chuck e Cheese Pizza Time Theatre had become known for its animatronic characters. Since the first Chuck E Cheese opened in 1977 many animatronic characters were removed and have become extinct from the family pizza restaurants so today we'll be taking a look at the history of the Chuck E Cheese pizza time theatre restaurants and counting down the Top 10 Extinct animatronics that you can't find in the restaurants today. The Chuck E Cheese restaurants were bought by Showbiz Pizza Place in 1984 with the full merger happening by 1992. It was recently announced that Chuck E Cheese would undergo their first major renovation in 20 years and will remove the animatronic band. Munch's Make Believe Band will eventually become fully extinct and go down in Chuck E Cheese history.

I belive showbiz started out as a research division of chuck e cheese, and eventually overtook them, but I enjoyed showbiz characters more, though the wolf and the gorrilla kind of frightened me as a little kid. I hope they dont get rid of the animatronics alltogather they are classics, and would not be the same without them though I have not been to a chuck e cheese in over a decade, I still like games and so forth but in fort wayne there are larger arcades to go to, indoor gokarts, and soo many comic and game shops for rpgs.

LPS Whishes Not at a lot of the newer locations, the last restaurant I liked still had the full three stage (caboret?) setup shut down a few years ago. Something about how the guy who owned it somehow actually owned the building and had the legal status to put in his will that if certain standards were not met he would rather have the restaurant closed rather than have the animatronics removed. It really was almost like a museum of Chuck e Cheese and still had several of the retired animatronics until mid 2000's-2010's. I remember them still having mini munch and a few of the frame animatronics though they were rarely active. I think they had one show for diner that had all of the animatronics activated but usually it was just the stage characters running. They guy who owned the store was passionate about maintaining the animatronics he had and refused to have any removed without a really good reason. It was by far the best one I have ever been to.

I grew up with avenger chuck and the animatronics as well. The CEO is full of crap because I was always fascinated by them. Removing them would most likely be The most boring decision ever. There won't be anything for the kids to do but dance around, and eat pizza while eating in the main hall. They should at least make the dance floor take up the tube playground of each store. It would remove the tunnels, but one of the major factors of the nostalgia will stay.

As much as I'm sad about hearing the current band members being removed, The CEO is true. No kids are sitting there looking at the animatronics, they're running around playing arcade games. Some kids are even crying from how 'spooky' they look. Having a dance floor will bring more kids to the stage, kids love to jump around. But thank you for filling me in on all these extinctions. When I was little, they used to have the whole band onstage in a separate party room. Then they removed them and only had Chuck who would refer to the rest of the members on a screen above him and they would sing the pre-recorded songs without Chuck, who would stop all his functions until the songs ended. After some years, they reconstructed the stage so that Chuck was behind a balcony rail (who knows if he actually had legs anymore at that point). Eventually, the store closed the curtains and no longer ran the show. The store later underwent renovation, getting rid of the party room, the stage, and ultimately the animatronic. Nowadays, you MIGHT see a person come out dressed in the old 1997Chuck E. Cheese design. The only other character that has always been there is Mr. Munch but he's only the decal on the ticket crunching machines. It's sad to see this happening, and mind you, I'm only 16 so all these changes have happened in a short span of time!

You know what would be the smartest choice in this situation. Ask what people liked most about Chuck E. Cheese in the old days and rate who their favorite animatronics were and recreate the entire thing based on their answers. It will take some time but it would be great if they did that for it would be a burden to just throw away the most greatest part of Chuck E Cheese.

I'd bring back the fox character because I love foxes and Irish music. I wish she'd been around when I was kid and used to go to Chuck E. Cheese. I thought the animatronics were so amazing back in the 90s, but then I wasn't around that kind of thing much, so I guess I was easily impressed. I can imagine that maybe the kids don't care so much for the animatronics anymore, especially if they are still kind of clunky like they used to be. It takes a lot more to impress kids nowadays.

Just a suggestion for future videos like this, you could make more videos about Showbiz and Creative Engineering's (the company that made them) older shows. They had a 50's style show called the Wolf Pack 5 and another show full of bears called the Hard Luck Bears. I could see people finding those interesting. But this was excellent l, you just gained a sub!

Yes, they were called the Moon Rocker's and were a retrofit of a middle Rock-afire stage since after the company lost the deal with ShowBiz they had left over RAE shows and it was an attempt to try and get more customers to bye what was left. Their names were Princess Hailey, Quazar, Orc, and Ozone. Fun fact, Princess Hailey was actually named after the daughter of the guy who voiced Fatz the gorilla in the Rock-afire Explosion.

Foxy Boy many of them were removed due to being in very poor condition. The Pizza cam in Richmond, Virginia has working circuits, but it's latex aesthetics have seen better days. The few that remain will go extinct with the current band members.
