These pulleys have been amazing. I bought two of them to try and do an upper and lower pulley system on my half rack. They are well made with quality materials and have held up great. I have had zero problems with them. Both still function perfectly and are as smooth and quiet as the day I got them. I have made a couple of shorter cables for them but I knew going in I may have to. But the shorter cables have actually given me more option for setup and use. Can't say enough good about them. I also have a couple of other videos on them showing different set ups and the shorter cables. You're welcome and thanks for watching!

I have a nice Smith Machine from Fray Fitness coming this Friday and i just ordered this last night but got the 55inch. I'm glad i didnt do 70inch i had a feeling it would be to long. I already have a rope from an older piece of gym equipment i sold years ago but i did just order a Lat Bar so hoping this will work well with that. I have the room for a bigger set up but after buying the Smith Machine, a bench and some dumbbells im done spending a ton of money so i hope i like this. I'll have a nice set up if this works well.....great review!

Chris G I just ordered the 55” also directly from Archon. Hopefully it comes in this week. I have an old cheap Weider rack that I’ve been using forever and it’s pretty short. So this may be just what I need. I maybe able to add an additional pulley and get a longer cable from Home Depot or Lowe’s so I can do low cable rows.

Leo H. I can confirm this cable is worth every penny, such an affordable option if you have a rack. Still new but holding up well, very smooth and quality parts. I’ve been using all week, feels good to do some tricep push downs and lat pulls again.

Chris G Thanks for the update man! I’m looking forward to it coming in. I had already pieced together a DIY kit, but for a few dollars more I figured the Archon is a deal since I won’t have to mess with making my own cables. I can’t wait for it to get here!

What is the blue bar at the top back of your rack? I have the same rack but haven't seen this on another nor when you set up your rack.
@JScottHelms
@JScottHelms 4 жыл бұрын
It’s a piece of 1x1 square metal tubing I added. I cut, drilled and painted it to match the rack. I added it so I could attach my Archon pulley system. It allows me some flexibility in how and where I can put the pulleys. It has been a great addition. I have also used it for resistance bands. By using that added bar I don’t have to take them off every time I want to move the pull-up bar for dips.

Thank you for the videos. I just ordered two. Archon now ships each pulley with 70” and 55” length cables. My question is - is it easy to remove and install the cable? Say I want to use 70” one day and 55” another - what is involved in swapping out the cables? Thanks!
@JScottHelms
@JScottHelms 4 жыл бұрын
It is very simple, takes about 30 seconds. On one side of the pulley there is a cotter pin that holds a small shaft in place. Remove pin, slide shaft out and remove cable. That simple. In one of my pulley videos I actually take it apart and show you how to do it. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching!

J Scott Helms can I ask you another question? Have you tried setting the pulley(s) at any different points on your rack other than up top or on the bottom? I’m wondering if the pulley can be mounted on a side beam of the rack (say for chest flys in that position).
@JScottHelms
@JScottHelms 4 жыл бұрын
I did try to mount one to one of the side beams of my half rack. It will fit around the beam, but it tended to slide down and move on me. It probably is possible to make it work, but I have not really spent much time trying to figure it out.

I’m not sure how they came up with that length. Almost everyone seems to think it’s too long. The only way I can see 70 inches working well is if you can mount to your ceiling. Otherwise it is a few inches too long. It does work with my rack, but it’s not ideal.

@JScottHelms

These can be mounted almost anywhere that can support the weight you want to use. If you don’t mind installing anchors, the ceiling is a great option. In the carport, garage or basement. The lanyard can be wrapped around studs and joists, or anchors could also be installed..
