Just picked up an artic cat tonight. Was looking at quadrunner amd king quad and could not find either. Settled with the ac. Had no idea they were the same machine. Very pleased. Very informative video.

That they did! I always thought those controls up on the gas tank were a neat feature of the king quad. No electronic actuators to fail either.

Yes looks is kind of personal preference. I like the proportions of the AC better but I’m also a bigger guy. If you like the king quad I believe you would also like the AC pretty well.

the quad runner first came out in 87 as both a 2wd and 4wd

Sounds ridiculous but I wonder if kind quad plastics would line up with the AC frame. I have a 98 300 4x4 and it would awesome to convert the controls to the kind quads lol

I have (2) 2000 King Quads. The Suzuki's I feel are much better.

Will the air filter from the artic cat fit the Suzuki?

Yes it will, they use the same air box and filter

@@CumminsDriver I bought a cheap one on ebay and the glue at the seem let loose in the heat and i didn't even start the atv just had it in my trailer? have you had any issues with the artic cat filters? Thanks for the info on the fit.

i am pretty sure the cat already has the diff lock u just have to make the shift cable push further

Yes you are correct, you just have to modify the shift cable.

Its personal preference really. The arctic cat has less convenient controls but the suspension and size of the machine is a lot nicer in my opinion. Cant really go wrong with either one.

The arctic cat dif lock comes on with super low gear. At least on my 02. Just one less lever.

No, the diff lock is never actuated on the arctic cat. The only way to control the diff lock is with the lever on the front diff which the pull handle for the 4wd is connected to. Putting it in super low only changes the selection of the sub transmission.

i dont think id like the 4wd lever on the arctic cat it seems like a persons leg would be hittin it all the time knockin it into 4wd

It looks in the way but honestly its not. Im 6'3 and even riding double ive never bumped my leg on it. Its not in as convenient of a spot as the suzuki for sure, but it still works fine.
