I hate being an "I told you so" kind of person. When I saw the spark after the new CDI was installed I knew you had a bad plug. I even said it out loud. But, I don't think you could hear me. The spark was weak and it was intermittent. It didn't look bright and "shocking". Anyway, glad you found it, and I really enjoyed this one. It's nice to change things up. You do good work, and that's what we all come to watch. See Ya Buddy

@@Kylebythecreek Wouldn't be the first time I was wrong, and I'm sure it won't be the last. But I was right even though I was wrong. I'm getting a headache. 🙂

Thanks for sharing. I had a similar issue. Chased my tail and it ended up being the neutral safety switch. I bypassed it and it has started every time and yes it will start in gear not a bad thing if you are stuck. Also I have seen several issues with the spark plug wire not making a good connection and you can trim back the wire and reinstall the boot if you have further issues. Good luck 🍀

Great video Kyle, it would be interesting to compare resistance of defective plug vs new plug. Thanks.

Great job on the repairs Kyle. The best part was your ripping it around at the end. Gotta have some fun. I had a similar issues with a NGK plug recently. It would spark just fine, but was having some weird intermittent fail. I chased my tail trying to figure it out, but finally changed plugs and ran perfect. Keep up the great content 😎🇺🇸

Could you talk about the trailer you moved the quad with? What is that center section of the deck made with and why isn’t it just plywood like the rest? Can that winch be operated with a drill or top-mounted crank or both? Is the winch really slow but geared down enough to pull pretty much anything onto the trailer (thinking lawn tractor with flat tires and locked wheels)? Where can I get one of those winches? People want to know. 😉😂👍

check the resistance of the old plug and a new one.

Yeah, I don’t want to watch if it’s not OPE, but then again I might actually learn something that can be applied to OPE, so I’ll stick around. 😉Besides, I guess I never know when someone’s going to ask me to fix one of those. A new customer asked me yesterday if I could look at her screen door. 😂

You seem to be a knowledgeable fellow, But don't you know you will never have vacuum to operate the fuel pump when you have the vacuum hose connected to a carburetor that is not connected to the motor.

Maybe mechanical work is not your thing. Anyone can swap out parts.
