Thank you!! You saved me!! The carburetor diaphragm was not seated correctly and I had no high speed. Racking my brain thinking it was a jet issue. You solved my problem! Awesome!!

Question if you don't mind. I'm working on a 2006 arctic cat 500 4x4 auto. Some of the lines are off the card. Most are dry rotten and loose. 1 the hose that Some out of the manifold intake does it go back to the furl pump. There is a hose right behind where the throttle going in. There is a hose where does that run or is that a vent hose like on the bottom of the carb. To let you know I'm installing a new carb. Basically give this machine alot of love where it has been neglected.

Thanks for the informative video! I bought a cheap Amazon carb instead of rebuilding for our '04 500. Bogs when I hit the throttle and the machine tops out at 30 MPH. I'm guessing it probably has the wrong jets in it. Any advice is appreciated!

So I have a 07' Artic Cat 500. That cuts out, pops, and runs like crap, mainly when it's warmed up. I've went through the carb, and new spark plug. Do you think it may be the valves, that need to be adjusted? Or what would you think might be causing those issues?

Thanks for the video. I have a 2004 AC 500 auto and it idles well. The problem is the engine bogs down when the throttle is engaged. Ordered a new bowl gasket and float fuel valve. I cleaned the seat and all jets. Vacuum slide is in great shape. This one set for a year inside and had green gunk in the jets. where can I find your carb kits for the 2004 500 auto. Thanks.

What ended up being the problem? I have same issue. Starts and idles perfect but won’t accelerate, bogs down and die out

@@Chevy-hw6lw The problem was the leaking/worn thin bowl gasket. They now make Ethanol resistant bowl gaskets. I also gave it a sonic bath and a new carb kit, (Drilled out the vac slide port and Dyno Jetted her) Good luck.

I just picked up an arctic cat 500 4x4 automatic from my boss still havent figured out which exact year it is but im guessing a 2000 or 2001. I did a little cleaning on the carbs to stop the bowl from over flowing but it still doesnt start right away. previous owner before my boss always used starting fluid to get it running and it seems to only want to run with the choke on. could these problems be fixed by cleaning the jets in this video and checking the choke assembly?

Dump a whole can of sea foam in with at least 91 and run er. Should do it. I also added an inline filter.

Can you tell me what the main difference is between the 2002 arctic cat atv 400 and the 500 carburetor? Will the 500 carb work on the 400?

No, the carbeurator that’s made for the 400 will only work for the 400cc arctic cat. I made the mistake of ordering a carb that was for a 400cc arctic cat atv. I’m now forced to order the correct carbeurator.

I have a 2003 Arctic cat 250. I cleaned the carburetor and now it starts great idles perfect but won’t accelerate. It will bog down and pop and die out. Any ideas ?

My guess is the diaphragm didn't get installed correctly. They other thing you might see is. Sometimes those main jets don't get tightened up enough and the vibration of the atv causes the main to completely turn out. You might double check these and let me know.

Rev all the way up?? If so your throttle might be sticking. Otherwise you might have an air leak!! Sorry for the late reply. Let me know what you find/found!

Hi thanks for getting back to me question is i had carburetor off atv and last winter rain got in to motor in hole carburetor goes in i cant turn motor or even pull start it there is no water in oil its clean new clean it has very little miles on atv i spary penetrating spray in hole it just sits there
