Thanks for sharing your bushing fix ! After watching I check our hardware store and found they had a brass bushing w/ a shoulder, 3/8" ID x 1/2" OD x 1" length. I had to drill out the ID and sand down the OD...and it fit GREAT ! The brass shoulder mimicked the shoulder on the nylon OEM bushing. At the same time I changed out the upper & lower OEM for the BDX bushings and what a difference ! Sad because this is on a '19 Mtn Cat that I started riding last January...hard to believe how quickly these OEM bushings wear ? Anyway, everything will be fresh for our trip to Alpine for 2-3 weeks in February ! Good riding & be safe in BC !

It's kind of weird how Cat has never addressed the steering slop, considering how responsive they have been to improve other parts of the sled. And nice cut-outs on your running boards--have done the same.

Sorry for the late reply. Its still good and tight! I wish I could tighten the rest of the steering up now lol

@@JasonMcMurray The rest of the steering has slop from the ball joints on the tie rods. Tie rods/lower steering linkage tie rods are the biggest culprits. The upper tie rod doesn't seem to have much play. They have a plastic bushing material inside the balljoint that wears out.

Should have coated the parts with a thin layer of fifth wheel grease. It's super tacky and can withstand great pressure. Great fix though! The steering slop left to right is from worn out heim joints and tie rods joints. Unless there's too thin of a spacer above and below a bell crank. This is newer than I have so I'm not positive as to the contraction and parts used.
