"Hands between the thighs" may not be especially 'saucy' - it could be, but it could also be just a comfort thing, thighs are warm.

Could be right. Saucy is more interesting, though. ; o ) - G.

The bassline is overlooked in this song and it's great, makes it feel eager, drives the song. Edit: the drum beat does the same

not sure if you guys are trying to listen to their songs in order but if you really want something different from Arctic Monkeys you should check out "Four Stars Out Of Five" off their most recent record. They have really evolved their sound from their first record. Love what you guys are doing keep it up!

Thanks for the kind words! Makes overall sense to go from oldest to newest stuff. But taking a sudden detour to latest stuff isn't out of the realm of possibility, especially if a song is getting repeated requests from diff folks.

Arctic Monkeys have a large stake in the rock genre. From a 2000's quasi-grunge, garage band on their first album, to motel jazz symphony on their latest. I enjoy your reactions. I hope you hit many many more. My favourites are non-album tracks. Standalone single "Leave Before The Lights Come On," or B-Side delights like "Temptation Greets You Like Your Naughty Friend" or "Evil Twin."

Hey fellas, I just wanna let you know that your takes are not lame, you are not wasting your time and to keep doing this. You give me a lot of hope and show us how to keep your mind open.

Thanks, Andrew, for the kind words of encouragement. We are who we are, good or bad. Up to the viewer to decide and either stick around or not. In the meantime, we're enjoying this journey we're taking with this channel and appreciative of folks like you who we're connecting with along the way. Take care. - Greg

Well done fellas. I found this band when I was about 22. I'm 36 now, and I can say their music kind of grew more mature as the years went on (like we all do). Not everyone likes thier newer sound, but a more recent hit was 4 stars out of five if you're looking for a song to react to. Good feeling seeing you guys enjoy them.

Loved your analysis again! I'd reccomand either The Jeweller's Hands or Dance Little Liar from Humbug - It's their third album and was considered a huge departure in their sound (though, as you have listened to 505 now, which is one of the FWN songs that point to the that direction, it might not seem that drastically different to you) - back then many people were taken aback by that, but it's grown to be a fan favourite record. The lyrics on these two songs are beautiful and the sound of both the songs is incredibly captivating. Dance Little Liar is IMO one of their best lyrically and the instrumentation is very tasty, The Jeweller's Hands is Humbug's closer and it's Arctic Monkeys perhaps at their most progressive. I love both :D.

If you're going for album 3 next, please try Dance Little Liar - probably my favourite song of theirs and one many people don't know. Really interesting lyrics and it builds to something incredible.

505 means what keeps you alive but killing at the same time i think and the bass lines written by Miles Kane whom is a great singer and a guitar genius himself and "with your hands between your thighs" describes the sadness, the loneliness and all that she has in his head
