Opening line to the 6th album is literally “I just wanted to be one of the strokes”

i highly recommend that you listen to the rest of this album, High energy from start to finish, perfectly encapsulates the feeling of growing up here in Northern England. I’d also love for you to react to my personal favourite Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino, their 6th album. It’s unlike anything they’ve done before and a lot of people hated it for that. Just like Sargent Peppers and Revolver when they came out, it’ll need a few listens to really see the genius in it.

So far I like what I hear. I don't know how I missed this band when they came out.

Bowie's influence on Alex Turner is an obvious fact, there's a little story the band told "They had tables at the top for guests and VIP guests, and I think Bowie was sitting there with whoever came," Turner said. . "Our tour manager didn't even notice and moved it so my brother and his wife could sit there and get a better view." "He didn't say anything like, 'Hey, I'm David Bowie'; he just moved politely and then came over to say hello.”

great react, arctic monkeys is my favorite band of this century and they have the same spirit as David Bowie in the sense of always changing the style of sound with each album released, it's worth checking out at least one song from each album to understand that, I sugest 'Library Pictures', 'My Propeller' and 'Four out of Five'

Look guys, everybody has been influenced by everyone before. The Arctic monkeys are no different. The only difference is the artist must be able to sample ( so to speak) music from their favorite artists without blatantly ripping them off. The Arctic monkeys have done this perfectly and have millions upon millions of fans for the last 20 years since their debut. Its hard for fellow musicians not to pick apart other artists but i guess it comes with the territory..

They decided to start a band after hearing the first strokes album. None of them knew how to play an instrument at the time.

Suggestion. Not sure if you take suggestions in your comment section. Here goes. The Warning are a band of three sisters from Monterey Mexico. They are what I consider hard rock, punk, post grunge style. I'm suggesting the track Evolve. Here's the link. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aZC1c2Oqh65paJY

You should react to the song red smoke by the reytons they have the same accent as arctic monkeys and sound like old arctic monkeys plus other bands of that era also the reytons filled the 12000 seater stadium in sheffield
