Yeah I get the feeling they started doing these extended outros live because they realised people weren't exactly excited over the newer songs Don't get me wrong I love The Car but the studio versions are not great concert songs, they had to spice them up

I highly agree. Heck i wouldnt mind even if it was 8 mins long. For an album that was a snoozfest for the most part this song really stands out and actually wasnt even shown to its full potential in the album!

@@PlatfootNL I think its fine we hear both. But ideally they shouldn't be performing the old tunes in this new era style. But thats just my opinion, without a doubt they're still one of the best bands this country has to offer.
@jphw854
@jphw854 11 ай бұрын
my issue is that he just hasnt ever been a good singer, and whilst he’s improved since their earlier albums, he is punching way to high for either his skill or simply what his voice is capable of in these newer songs. basically my problem is that technically his voice is flawed and sounds super off to me and in their older music it wasn’t as present as he didn’t over exert his voice to the same degree.

Man, I don’t care what anybody says, I went there thinking they had lost their way and was relying on nostalgia, but after this set, I get it. Whole performance was absolutely phenomenal, especially the change in tempo and the transitions between the old tunes and the new ones. I felt like they slowed down so we could catch up. Some got it, some didn’t, I for one am in love with them again ❤

@BiancaSanches_

 @danielhayes8348 I'm so sorry for you guys and understand how you feel...I felt like that when I waited with a huge group of fans in front of the hotel The Killers were staying and the guys left in front of the group without saying even hello..even though we waited for hours out in the sun..and a few hours later they posted on insta stories many pictures in the pool of another hotel in a city that was just a few miles from mine (which shows they weren't busy with another concert or event but simply wanted to leave and ignored us). And that's why I can imagine how you guys feel but still think Alex was strong and tried his best to honor his fans in a way that was certainly not polite with you guys,but I bet he tried to avoid that!! And I recognized his strength for literally performing to the best of his capacities just a few days later. He has been fully present in so many concerts since last year and I cannot even imagine the impact all of that has on a person and how much it may contribute to not just his laryngitis but also extreme fatigue from not having any rest. Not to mention how much they would have to pay in case they breach the Glastonbury contract which of course is so much more than any other concert they have booked. It was certainly a strategic matter. But in the final analysis, Alex does care for you guys!!

LYRICS For a master of deception and subterfuge You've made yourself quite the bed to lie in Do your time traveling through the tanning booth So you don't let the sun catch you crying So predictable, I know what you're thinking My teeth are beating and my knees are weak It's as if there's something up with the wiring You can poke your head behind the mountain peak Don't have to mean that you've gone into hiding So predictable, I know what you're thinking I'm watching your every move I feel the tears are coming on It won't be long, it won't be long Straight from the cover shoot Still a trace of body paint On your legs and on your arms and on your face And I'm keeping on my costume (keeping on) I'm calling it a writing tool And if you're thinking of me I'm probably thinking of you There's still a trace of body paint On your legs and on your arms and on your face There's still a trace of body paint On your legs and on your arms and on your face There's still a trace of body paint On your legs and on your arms and on your face There's still a trace of body paint On your legs and on your arms and on your face So predictable, I know what you're thinking Yeah Yeah

This was utter PERFECTION......I was twitching hoping that it wasn't going to be another performance of the trimmed rendition which I've sadly witnessed live before! AMFOREVERXX

this may be really cringe but this gave me chills just watching them be so liberal with what they are playing and mess around a bit with their own instruments but still be so connected as a band. Sometimes I forget they are musicians and artists and know what they are doing and be so good at it. Even tho the band over time has changed and they've grown up, it's great to see them let loose and just jam with each other, it is so captivating to watch. Should've won the Grammy periodt

I first heard this song 2 months ago and can't stop playing it - their whole performance was mesmerising. I'm of an age where it doesn't matter to me who's hip and who's not, just enjoy the music without the hang-ups. My first festival was Reading 1972 and my last was a month ago. Go with the music, grow with the music. 🎸🤘🏻

Watched Body Paint live yesterday. Everyone in the crowd got emotional, I was screaming like a dying pig, and the last solo..... Oh my god THAT was an experience. Probably the best performance of the night, and this wasn't even my favourite song before the show.

First and only band I’ve seen in concert. I waited 9 years for them to visit my city again. Been checking ticket masters for years hoping to see an upcoming performance. On one faithful day, I saw it and made no hesitations watching both performances in my city. Forever, the Arctic monkeys will have a place in my heart ❤ they’re music has and does things to me that unexplainable. Sorry if you this was weird.

I have seen them 4.. or is it 5?😂times now.. they have always delivered a blistering set! One festival I was at they were on before the foo fighters,.. it was just after the release of Suck it and See.. a masterpiece.. and the crowd went fukn mental.. poor foo fighters!😂😂they had to follow one of the best sets by a band I’ve ever seen. I bought tickets for their next concert , in London, on my way back to my hotel after the gig. They are that good! Hope you enjoy your concert!😎

I don’t understand all the negative reviews on their glastonbury performance? I was there right in the middle, they were fantastic!! This track being probably one of my favourites, and it more than lived up to my expectations. What an, incredible, full fat, explosive version it was!!! 👌

There performance was alright. But People expected them to play mostly from their earlier albums. They hardly played 3 songs from their first album and 3-4 from second one. They disappointed the fan by the choice of songs,not by their performances.
