Arctic Monkeys aged like fine wine. Incredible how they were able to change their style and allowed themselves to bring something fresh and stimulating to the table. Can't wait for the next project.

I love anything they do honestly, they can do no wrong for me. It’s sad this album wasn’t very appreciated by many fans, just because it was too different from what they were used to hearing. I also love Suck It and See and that was also a massively underrated record. Smh

@@redmoon9650 I have to admit it took me a while to get into this album. Like at first I only liked this song and TBHC. I regret not giving this album more appreciation. I have loved Arctic Monkeys since I was 9 years old. I am now 22. 😭😭😭 I love their music but this album was different and I probably want ready for it back in 2018.

I think that Alex and the whole band decided to follow the normal natural path of aging and growing up, instead of getting stuck in their teenage years like most bands that had success during that time did. That's fine and it's just healthy and normal. Which means that he's a healthy guy instead of a junky drunk rock band guy like many others. I love him for that, he's still the coolest one. Rock on, Alex!

I don't understand why changing their sound from indie to this is an evolvement. I like indie more than this, and I don't see why playing a piano like if you were living in the 50's is better than playing a distorted guitar.

Alejandro Mdo Anyone can make something out of anything. Rehashing lounge sounds with a semi-ironic attitude is nothing original either. I do like some of the record, but I still think is a step down. People should stop pretending that this is something new and original. If you like it, great, just don't act like it's the greatest thing ever.

I mean, they played at the Olympics, and AM is one of the best selling albums of 2013 (Their first album was a monster selling album too). Do I Wanna Know currently has 658 millions views...fucking millions and R U Mine? 198 millions, to me that is pretty fucking popular. Even in my third world country they are pretty fucking popular; when they played here, they literally sold out their show in like a week. In a fucking third world country.

I can't believe so many people were disappointed with this album. I've been a big fan since their debut and think this is clearly their best work. It's not even a particularly strange direction for them to go in considering the constant genre switching away from their typical indie rock roots. The darker, dirtier stoner-rock vibe of Humbug; the clean, crisp pop-rock of Suck It and See; the anthemic, RnB-infused power chords on AM. Turner's strength has always been his witty songwriting. With the total death of mainstream guitar music, it was only a matter of time until they made something more Bowie-inspired. Alex really rose to the occasion with his showmanship. And I love the restrained lead guitar on this track. It doesn't even make an appearance until the last quarter of the song but comes in just at the right time to kick things up a notch.

I took a screenshot of this comment and I'm just gonna show to everyone who complains about their style changing after AM. Absolutely brilliant observations and thoughts. I feel the same. They changed their style with each album and if people listen to anything other than AM, it will make sense. I also appreciate that they do what they feel is artistically fitting and not always fall into what their fans or the industry wants.

That being said, there are moments on the album where you catch glimpses of the old gang, and there are even some new songs I like a lot! Family Guy it’s about his made up dystopian set probably some time in the future but also in the late 70s of his hotel and casino on the moon and his four stars out of five high end taco stand that’s somewhere at the casino that’s he’s trying to get you to come and try and also to persuade you to stay at his hotel. i would say the imagination behind this whole album is “out of this world”

I'm in no position to give advice, I don't want to be nice And you know that Take it easy for a little while Come and stay with us, it's such an easy flight Cute new places keep popping up Around Clavius, it's all getting gentrified The information action ratio is the place to go And you will not recognise the old headquarters All the nights that never happened and the days that don't exist At the information action ratio The only time that we stop laughing is to breathe or steal a kiss I can get you on the list for all the clubs I can lift you up another semitone Take it easy for a little while (Take it easy for a little while) Come and stay with us, it's such an easy flight Cute new places keep on popping up (Cute new places keep on popping up) Since the exodus, it's all getting gentrified The information action ratio (The information action ratio) Is the place to go, four stars out of five Take it easy for a little while (Take it easy for a little while) Come and stay with us, now, it's such an easy flight Cute new places keep on popping up (Cute new places keep on popping up) Around Clavius, it's all getting gentrified I put a taqueria on the moon (The information action ratio) It got rave reviews, four stars out of five Take it easy for a little while (Take it easy for a little while) Come and stay with us, four stars out of five Take it easy for a little while (Take it easy for a little while) Come and stay with us, four stars out of five Take it easy for a little while (Take it easy for a little while) Come and stay with us, four stars out of five (Take it easy for a little while) Four stars out of five

This album is an avant-garde masterpiece. I love the sci-fi tones and the addition of the synthesizer/keyboards to their new, mature sound. The lyrics are also quite delightful, I love “cute new places keep on popping up, since the exodus”... it transports me into an alternate imaginary world as I drive home late at night high. Mysterious, intriguing, artistic. Definitely four stars out of five... and that’s unheard of! ; )

Why this album is important is not only it's a masterpiece work but also it's the first time we see Alex Turner's inner deep in songwriting. He really took a risk and he didn't hold back. This album concept and music may not be for everyone but it is indeed really good. When this album came out i liked couple of songs but i couldn't get into the album. So after 3 years and giving chances to this album, i realised it's a master f piece. But i never considered this album as "bad". And i really am sad about people judging and calling it trash because they didn't like it or couldn't understand what's going on. Alex is one of the best songwriters in today and a good musician. He never repeats. He always come back with something different and its always somehow good. You can't just expect from him to write "r u still mine?" or "sun finally went down" when he turned 35? Their early songs are great but y'all are expecting same rock n roll spirit. He grew up, his interest in songwriting has changed. And i do feel like growing up with their music too. I don't call music trash because somehow it has a meaning for either songwriter/musician or someone who likes it. Music is an art after all. If you don't like the tune that doesn't make it trash or bad, it means it's just not for you. My dude wrote amazing songs for this album so if you don't like it just leave it because all these over-negative reviews are overwhelming even for me...

The Arctic Monkeys never fell off at all. Consistent as ever musically (maybe not commercially) and still produce and make classic rock songs. #RockNRollHOF

This is just a slice of what was broadcasted last night!!! I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the whole thing, from the retro look or 70’s feel nothing was there by coincidence... even the cameraman they were using old school boiler suits ... 10/10
