Job 38:30 The waters are hid as with a stone, and the face of the deep is frozen. 31 Canst thou bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion? 32 Canst thou bring forth Mazzaroth in his season? or canst thou guide Arcturus with his sons? 33 Knowest thou the ordinances of heaven? canst thou set the dominion thereof in the earth? 34 Canst thou lift up thy voice to the clouds, that abundance of waters may cover thee? 35 Canst thou send lightnings, that they may go, and say unto thee, Here we are?

Facing Arcturus and looking to the left you will find Vega and between these stars you will find Hercules and Corona Borealis two faint constellations but whenever the nights are clear I try to go out and with the camera get at least a couple of pictures of CB together with other constellations. Thanks Janine.

My home. Thanks for this insight. Arcturus came from a parallel universe through a portal and made the milky way it's home. So it's older than the milky way. There's feline beings, blue skin beings, it was a fairy world at one point. About 1.4% of earth population are Arcturians starseeds.

Interesting - I was under the impression K type stars lived double the life span of our sun. I find it interesting that its already in the end stages of its life even though its only 2 billion years older than our sun. Interesting watching these videos and brushing up on my astronomy. I haven't had the chance to do any since I was a teenager.

Hi 👋. A few things: 1) i thought Sirius was the brightest star, after the sun? 2) Do you have any information on Lyra? 3) How can this star Arcturus be brighter than the sun, but yet we can't see it when the sun is shining? Lastly, can you help me figure out a way for me to get back to where I'm originally from? If so, I'll let you meet my mom and dad. ✨️

Im confused with the term, guardian of the bear. What does that mean exactly?
@learnthesky Жыл бұрын
Arcturus is always circling Ursa Major and Ursa Minor, which are both represent bears. It appears to watch over or ‘guard’ these two constellations.

Arcturus is a young Population II star, meaning is was among the earliest stars formed, but it's current state puts is well along is evolution toward a white dwarf. Its metallicity is low, but higher than our Sun's at the moment because it has synthesized longer, meaning its hydrogen and helium stages are almost done. What is produced by those stages are heavier elements, and since it has been doing it for 2B years longer than our Sun, it has more of those heavier elements inside it. Our star, the Sun, is an older Population II star. Pop II stars were formed secondarily, AFTER Pop I stars went supernova and spread their metallicity into other star clouds that went on to form the Pop I stars like our Sun. So, our Sun started its life with more metallicity because it was formed from the graveyards of older stars that formed early in the universe's time. I hope that makes sense.
@learntheskyАй бұрын
It does make sense. I like your explanation of Pop I vs Pop II stars. It’s not something I always get to teach about in my classes since it is more of an advanced concept for middle school. I will add this topic to my list of videos to make. Thank you for your comment.

The Herdsman is protecting the Greater and Lesser Sheepfolds (aka the big and little bears, dippers, plowshears). I think the Sheepfold names are more harmonious with the shepherd and makes sense with an Ancient Near East origin. _The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want._ _He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters._ _He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake._ _Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me._ _Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over._ _Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever._ - Psalm 23, A Psalm of David, KJV
