Hey Alex, can I ask you a quick question? You did an awesome job coding this and while I am not looking for a digital dash or anything I am always curious to speak to other developers to see how they implement their UI within Linux.. Are you running QT framework or...? appreciate it

@@fjs1111 this isnt in Linux. Nextion has their own UI builder that you use. The rest is code to manipulate images.

I am seeking to do the same for my 2006 Honda CBR1000rr. I have 2 uno r3 and a mega 2560 r3. I found out the OEM is CAN BUS. I thought about using the master and slave technique have the mega receive data and the send the data to the slave to display all the gauges to the display. Will your method here work?

@@deemorris7229 you're overthinking it. You only need 1 to receive and send data. An UNO is slow also.

Hey man, I was looking into wanting to add an LCD dash/gauge cluster for my 08 gt500, I dont know much about the raspberry pi world or programming and stuff, but I was reading up on some other forums about just being able to tie into the stock ECU through my OBD2 port and getting the data that way. I was wondering if this would be something possible that your setup might be able to do with some sort of special implementation? Feel free to send me a message Id love to have a chat with you about it

@@Xsoulreaper005XGamingx if you want to take a crack at it.. I'd suggest the ESP32 since it has bluetooth. OBD2 is easy to get data from. Buy an ELM327 BT module, plug it into your OBD2 port, download the example code that reads ELM327 via BT. Initially have it dump to the serial monitor using Arduino IDE so you can verify the data. Once good, buy a Nextion display, size of your choice and go to town creating the display you want.
