With your help I finally build my third AR Wing exactly like yours, the same FC, same firmware, same GPS and same rangefinder. And I also put them in the same place like yours! I've got mine on order. I just maidened my AR wing with F405 yesterday and since this was my first arduplane, it was a great and unusual feeling to have the FC take over when doing things like RTL, etc. I'm enjoying building along. Can't wait for a auto landing video! ;)

Great video Lee, as always. This series inspired me and I got my AR wing setup. I'm having lots of fun with it. I'm waiting for your autoland video, so I can review and compare settings against what I've done. I also got the same range finder. Another video I'm waiting for is how to more easily remove a wing for transport. Thanks!

A question about ports on the Pixhawk 4. I have this TFmini working if I use Telem2 port. I'm trying to get it to work on the UART & I2C port. I've made the settings exactly the same, checked a dozen times. Is there some other setting for that connection I'm missing? I've assumed it is serial 3, but I've also tried 4 and 5. Thanks.

Sort've solved that issue in a round about way. I had wanted to use the Telem2 for the Radio Telemetry, from one of your other videos. But it turns out the radio works fine in the UART connection, so I can just use the Telem2 for the lidar and I haven't wasted a connection. By the way, the radio set I got is a Holybro, but it has all the parts like your more expensive version (in the other video), so it's in between the two you had in that video. Worked right out of the box.

Hello! I'm using a Heewing T1 RANGER PNP VTOL with the FC that it came with. Although I'm using the MTF-01 Lidar my issue is that the FC can't recognize it. Is it possible the FC not to be compatible with Lidar? Thanks!

@@Painless360 I had to go into the custom firmware builder, take the V2 board firmware and enable the Rangefinder - MAVlink and on Sensors the optical flow MAVlink sensor, build the firmware and flash it again. After that the values on rangefinder1 and Flow Quality started to work fine. Now I need to figure this out so I can make it fly with these values. These things are first to me.. Never done Ardupilot settings and I search/experiment to figure these out.

Hi I have a fixed wing plane. It has 140 miles range From Point A to Point B. Is it possible to pre program the mission planner so that I can extend the flight to 200 miles ( From Point A to B to C) For example, when the planes gets to Point B, my friend will change battery and the planes connects to the mission and it is thrown up into the air to move from Point B to Point C Is that possible????? Or my friend will need a second relay remote control?? Francisco

I have pixhaw px4 flight controller ,my only question is should I upgrade to new flight controller or can I use the same old pixhaw on my FT spear for long range?? I don't want auto land feature .Would be very helpful if I get a reply
