Gina K started the whole wreath making technique which I love as it's easy to use plus it's fun as you see the wreath form before your eyes. Also, Gina's works with Misti like stampers that all of us already have. Who has money to buy a who new system that would make all that we already have obsolete??? 🤨

Thanks for the review Ardyth. I tend to drop things and this seems like a very large stamp block to me, so it’s not something I would purchase. Also, I think people that have arthritis or other hand issues might find this difficult to work with. Thanks, Ardith, that was helpful! I am older and have been a crafter for a long time. I currently have an appointment with a hand surgeon for carpal tunnel. Thank you for the great video with lots of tips! I received mine last week but won’t play with it til this weekend. I liked this tool because it doesn’t have hinges (my we loved and worn out misti had badly deteriorated hinges causing it to not stamp accurately any more.) I also love this tool because the plate is shaped to fit into positions and it doesn’t seem like it takes a lot of pressure to make the stamped image (no need for a stamping tool to apply pressure which is a bonus as I have hand and wrist issues and applying extra pressure with a stamping tool is just to possible se days). I’m also looking forward to the sticky mat and easy ability to make wreaths larger than the original wreath builder. So many pluses for me made this a no-brainer to save my crafty budget a few months to buy this. Thank you again for your videos on this tool!

There are definitely things you can do with this only. The photopolymer mat is a real plus. It’s much more durable than the other sticky mats available & you have to know they will lose their stick over time & need replacement, not this one. I’ve already suggested to customer service that they have a golden marketing opportunity with just the photopolymer mat. They’ve passed it on to marketing. Great minds think alike. I knew there would be gasps over the price, however, if you add in the cost of sticky mats for the MISTI, they’re close.

Thanks Ardyth. I always love a good tool. I have several stamping platforms (none of them a MISTI!) but I like the idea of the sticky mat in the Stampwheel. I’ve tried several sticky mats and they always lose their stick. Being made of photo polymer, maybe that’s the problem solved. It would have been great if the Stampwheel came with a built in grid, preferably removable with inches on one side and metric the other.

I think it looks amazing. I figure for storage, since it needs to be horizontal, I will get a low, deep and long enough under shelf basket, that I can store soe upcoming accessories they are making for it, and the wheel itself. There's enough room to hang it over the shelf I have a folding but heavy duty trimmer on, so it will make use of that unused space. The shelf is just above my desk, so I can set the lid in the basket when I am stenciling or other things. It's either that or get some stacking paper trays, and put my stamp platforms, trimmers, and die cutting platforms in . . .I suppose after the summit I will have a better idea of what I want to do, because all these large flat things with similar and/or related uses, would be great if they were organized together safely and accessibly

I found your review very interesting, and it came across as unnecessarily complicated, which makes it a no-go for me. This tool is NOT for people with wrist issues. I found that sometimes the entire stamp would not print - I would pick up the wheel and see that certain parts of the stamp still contained the ink (especially an edge area). So would place the wheel back in and really press hard. sometimes that portion would never stamp. I tested the stamps in the Misti and had no problem at all. I was using various Altenew stamps.

Aimee, I've been using the WRMK medium-sized stamping platform, and I like it a lot, but it hadn't occurred to me that the foam pad might become unusable. Was there anything in particular that seemed to damage yours, or did the foam just break down over time? Also, have you tried substituting a piece of fun foam, or an embossing mat? It seems as if there ought to be some way to create a comparable cushioning effect, but that might be wishful thinking on my part.

Oh yes! I used to have that tool! (had to Google it to be sure lol!). I don't have it anymore, but the motion of picking up the 'lid', flipping it over and stamping would be similar I think. You can't turn the WRMK one, but you can't shift the altenew one by putting the lid in different positions. Thanks for watching!
@bunnylands916 Жыл бұрын
Thanks, Ardyth - I hadn't picked up on that limitation of the Stamp Wheel. Looks like I'll keep making wreath-building templates to use with my WRMK stamping platform, since the Stamp Wheel price isn't likely to drop to where I could justify getting one.

Do have a different storage solution than the SSS Cardstock sleeves Tim uses?
@ardyth Жыл бұрын
@@Nana-us8ls I don't know those sleeves in particular, but I do use plastic folders (long side open) for storing my specialty card stock (white cardstock is in a drawer). I found that the folders with the short side open were too difficult to get scraps out of.

it looks impressive, I saw it first on Therese's channel, loved it, then I saw it's price and now I don't love it as much ;-) I am a stamper at heart, but I can't. I wonder if the base is photopolymer if it will stain like when you use certain inks on stamps. might come separately later as you think also, but a stamp that size might be 50 dollars as well. O use a medical grip mat in my misti , it's like th etim holtz one but comes on a roll
@ardyth Жыл бұрын
Yes, I think it will stain, like a big stamp, with any ink that stains stamps. Thanks for dropping by, Maaike!

@@coolstamper google it - you're better off to find it in what country you live in (some countries charge ridiculous shipping, combined with the dollar exchange it may prevent you from buying it. Ask me how I know 😉). Some medical supply companies that may be local to where you live may also stock it or be able to order for you - worth checking. Good luck.

I used StayzOn ink for something & there’s smudges on the petal plate. Is there something to get it off? I was thinking nail polish remover, but afraid it’ll cloud up the plate.
@ardyth7 ай бұрын
Oh gosh, I haven't used StazOn for years so I'm not really up to date on this topic. I would try Ultra Clean first, and possibly rubbing alcohol. Nail Polish is likely acetone and I'm not sure what it might do to the plate. Good luck!

I think the white plastic could get ink stains.. the color alone is a turn off for me. Why did they choose baby poop for the corners? Your video was very informative and straight to the point, thank you. The bit about organisation was especially interesting to me because it showed the size compared to a misti.

I couldn’t wait to see what you thought of this! Great video! I like how you broke it down into parts of how you’d use it. It would be quite a while before I could get it, but I think that it does a lot for one tool. The thing that worries me a little, is that if you had a hard time with getting used to the turning after all you’ve done with PPalace, I don’t stand much of a chance. I can tell one thing I think maybe they should’ve done differently but I’m not sure since I haven’t used it. Do you think if the marks were in black instead of white, it would be easier since most of us use far more white than dark cardstock? It certainly would be easier to see in a video. Lol I couldn’t tell where you were at all. So to be fair, I think you should use it only for anything you would use the PP 360, if not more, for another month or 2. Then I’d love to get another review of it only because you are already in a habit with the PP 360 so I think that makes this feel more strange to you than say someone like me that’s never used the PP tool. Do you think so? Regardless, I really like the capabilities. I know you will be loving this thing! Your first run you made just gorgeous fast Easter cards! Have a Happy Easter! God bless you!
@ardyth Жыл бұрын
I definitely found that numbering the petals really helped me keep straight in my mind where things were at when turning. While the concept is similar to the 360 tool, I would say it depends whether you prefer working with stamps or stencils - I will definitely continue to use it and give updates. Thanks for watching, Denise!

I have been wondering about bobbling the petal plate as you are trying to set it into place and then ending up with a messed up image. I noticed you specifically said to line it up in the two bottom petal slots first and then press. Did you have any trouble getting it to set in correctly? Thank you!

I did not have trouble getting it to set in correctly, and the movement became more familiar over time, but I get what you're saying - I was concerned about it, but in this (admittedly very short!) session, that didn't happen to me. Thanks for the demo. I don’t think this tool is for me, after watching you use it I feel this would annoy me having to constantly turn it over to ink and turn to make the wreath. I love the cards you made, but I would not purchase this tool. Too cumbersome for me. And I have the Misty and another tool similar to the Misty. I’ve also made my own wreath maker tool (so easy). And I think it’s easier to turn the paper in my wreath maker than it is to keep flipping the wheel on the Stampwheel. But, that’s just me and I’m sure there will be people who will buy it. But I think in time, if you do purchase it, it’ll be one of those tools that you WON’T reach for. Happy Easter all!!! 💕❤️💕
