I have a bunch of premade backgrounds also but my goal this year is to use my paper scraps. Every card I have made this year has used paper scraps. I want to add one thing. I think everyone remembers paper weaving from school. When I have backgrounds that I don't like enough to use them on a card I like to cut them into small strips and weave a rectangle from them. It's possible to die cut simple shapes like circles or hearts from it. Looks great on a card or tags!
