Is it better to have a dedicated Ninja Blender and Food Processor or can The Ninja Foodi Power Blender Ultimate System do it all? If you liked this video, you might like this Ninja Ultimate System Review as well: • Ninja Foodi Power Blen...
The Ninja Foodi Power Blender is a great blender. The only problem is that although it can handle some processing duties, It can't do a lot of things that a dedicated food processor like the Ninja Professional Food Processor can do. Namely, things that involve discs like slicing, grating, and shredding. For most people, if you need that function, you end up having to buy 2 appliances. That's all well and good, but kitchen counter real estate is some of the most valuable space in your house, let alone the kitchen. Well, now we have the Ninja Foodi Power Blender Ultimate System! This great kitchen system does everything that the Ninja foodi Power Blender does and has all the same attachments. In addition to that, the Ultimate System has a second blender lid that has an integrated pusher and disc support, and also comes with processing discs, allowing you to do all of the same things that you could previously only do on a dedicated food processor saving you time, money, and counter space. Does it do as good a job as 2 dedicated appliances? Watch this and find out!

I had (still have, really) the Ninja HB150 Hot & Cold Blender and the Ninja BN602 Professional Advanced Food Processor, but the SS401 Power Blender Ultimate System had been gnawing at me for some time, and your reviews did nothing to appease my itch for it. So, when it finally went on sale, I ordered the SS401. Needless to say, I love it to bits and it rendered the other food processor redundant. As you correctly state in your review, it does the job at least as well as the dedicated food processor and the difference in power, stability, and longer run times are very noticeable, especially when grating hard or dense cheeses or making dough. To my surprise, while the SS401 is a great blender, it didn't make the Hot & Cold Blender redundant. I find that I'm pretty hooked on the ability to throw in ingredients, press a button, and get a home-made soup after 30 minutes and no fuss. It also turns out that the Hot & Cold Blender is better at very liquid jobs, much like the nutrient extraction cup/blade of the SS401, but with a capacity of 64 ounces instead of the 24 ounces for the cup. For some jobs, that matters. So, I ended up replacing the food processor, but not my blender. While the extra counter space would have been nice, I really like having the two sets of complementary features and I make soups often enough that I don't feel like boxing and unboxing the HB150 every time. So, I probably look like a dork for having two blenders on my counter, but at least, I'm a happy dork.

Thank you so much for making these phenomenal comparisons Joe! Quick question, how would you compare making dips with the regular Foodi power blender and the ultimate system? Let's say with hummus, how well can they make that compared to the dedicated food processor? Thanks!
@JoesPhenomenal
@JoesPhenomenal 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! The foodi power blender and the one with the ultimate system would be identical.. If you compared it with the normal food processor, the power blender would make it smoother and thinner, while the food processor would be a little more granual since it's got a larger, slower blade. If you want to make it a little less smooth like that in the power blender, you can do it, but you have to pulse a bit and also keep the speed down as well... Other than that, pretty darned good. Without doing that, it would come out similar to the potato puree in the video.

are the SS401 (Ultimate system) accessories (like the chute lid, disc setup etc.) compatible with the SS351 pitcher? I guess they are ? and I'm thinking of buying SS401 parts for whatever is not there in my SS351 in comparison.
@JoesPhenomenal

The pitchers are different. They physically fit and will do all the normal blending stuff, but there is a mechanism inside the pitcher handle of the intimate system that controls the discs and interfaces with the new disc function of the base.... Forgot to mention, the ninja blender can do pretty nice mayo too, but you would want to use the single serve cup for that. It's higher rpm than the main pitcher since it had a tiny blade, and purees nicer... Less cleanup too.

Looking this one up on their website it says it's 1200-watts but with 1600-Peak-Watt Power Dense Motor. I wonder if it is the same motor as the Costco model or if it slightly upgraded so it has that peak power?
@JoesPhenomenal
@JoesPhenomenal 2 жыл бұрын
The Costco power blender I think is 1200 watt with a 1400w peak? The slight increase in power makes sense since it has to run the processor discs without bogging down, but in the blender comparisons, I didn't notice a difference there. They both did a nice job though.. The one with the Ultimate system might be a tiny bit more quiet... again, it's close though.

Still no Ultimate in the EU. The reason might be some regulations, as I couldn't find any Ninja blender in the EU and even on their UK site that goes beyond 1200W. The problem with the older models available in the EU is that the accessories, like the spice grinder and the smoothie jar with the rotating wipe thingy, are not compatible with them.

That's so weird.... I think they make it difficult on purpose sometimes.
