how long does it last if you use it for 10 mins every day? my other ninjas lasted 1 year or 6 months and they were broken in the same spot. on the bottom of the pitchers where the screws are attached to the plastic piece.... how smart????
@JoesPhenomenal2 жыл бұрын
Hi there Anna! Just took a look at my pitcher. We've had this one in house for about a year and a half? Something like that... we don't use it every day like you do, but if I had to guess, I would say we have used it about 70 times or so. Ours still looks new. No micro cracks in the plastic or discoloration and the screws all look good. Question... Do you, by chance, clean your food processor pitcher in your dishwasher? Ninja says that their pitchers are dishwasher safe, but I can tell you from experience that they definitely are not, over time. I did have a pitcher on a blender break the exact way you described.... on the botton where the screws go into the plastic to hold the blade assembly in. We cleaned that one in the dishwasher.... since then, we have hand washed or just blended soapy, warm water in them to clean them and never had an issue like that again.... the pitchers have stayed nice and clear too.. no ugly cloudy look to the plastic. Hope that helps you!

@AmarahFashion2 жыл бұрын
Can you use it as a grinder?
@JoesPhenomenal2 жыл бұрын
Hi! Thanks for stopping by! The Ninja Food Processor doesn't have a super high speed motor, so as far as grinding, I'd say it depends on what you were planning on putting in it and the hardness of each. For instance, We just did a video on making rice flour in it that is scheduled to post in Friday. If we do it with dry rice, it's way harder on the machine than it is if we soak it... That's a pretty extreme example though since rice kernals are so hard. Also, it depends on how much you plan to do at once... It tends to do a better job if you have more in there up to a point. So if you're using softer ingredients, it's great, harder stuff might be a better idea to do in a high speed Blender though.

I've had the Kitchenaid 13-cup food processor for about six months or so. I bought it because to be honest, it matches all of my other Empire Red KA tools, LOL (I know, it's a dumb excuse. That's how they get ya!) and obviously, to slice, dice, and julienne fr- erm... Chop food. It usually gets the job done but the thing feels extremely flimsy. The walls of the canister (or whatever you call the main part that holds food) are super thin and every time I wash it, I'm afraid it'll crack. The handle has been loose from the start. The hinge to the lid feels like it's about to crack to pieces when I remove it, which bothers the hell outta me. I bought the Ninja Auto IQ because unlike the 500 watt KA, this thing has at least twice the amount of power, and it doesn't feel flimsy at ALL. The chopping blade looks like something out of Saw, which I love (I tell my potatoes, "I'd like to play a game..." 😂). Since I'm not a professional chef and don't cook commercially, I think the Ninja was a perfect addition to my home kitchen. It makes me feel like I know what I'm doing, LOL. Plus, I'm not afraid to blast my macaron dries in the thing and release almond oil. This thing is perfect for my needs... Sorry, Kitchenaid. I still love KA's stand mixer, though!

None of my Ninja Stuff has really given me any kind of problems as of yet, and they do do get quite a bit of use. Even if something were to fail, the price on that stuff is low enough to not really bother me too much if it ever came to that. I love my KitchenAid mixer too! I really like those, but it's really the only KitchenAid product I own, come to think of it. The attachment system is really great on it.

Good question! Can't really say a whole lot yet about this one. We use it every day, but it's only a few months old, so it's too soon to say. Working great so far though. It replaced our old Ninja blender. We had that one for 5 years. It was the model that comes with a food processor attachment in addition to the main blender pitcher. On that one, the food processor attachment broke after about 4 years, but the main blender and pitcher were just fine, albeit a bit scratched up from use. Ended up giving that one away to a friend, and it's still working fine. However, this is our first purchase of dedicated food processor.. again, it's just a few months old, but it's had a fair bit of use. on big jobs, it's a little underpowered, but i was expecting that for the price..pretty happy so far

Is it better than Kitchenaid?
@JoesPhenomenal2 жыл бұрын
That is tough to say. I haven't used any of the kitchenaid food processors myself, but with the Ninja one, it does get bogged down a little with bigger jobs. The Ninja comes in at 1000w I believe, so if the KitchenAid is more powerful, it might have the upper hand. You also have to look at price and what comes in the package, like the kinds of discs and stuff. The Ninja is a great value at the lower price point, but If KitchenAid isn't too terribly much more, it might be worth a look if it comes with everything you need in the box and has that power bump. I wanna say they are 1500w, but I could definitely be wrong on that.

@JoesPhenomenal2 жыл бұрын
@@bartoszambrozy321 Ok.. got some comparitive info for you. The Ninja's capacity is almost double that of the KitchenAid. The KitchenAid can only chop and whisk. It's a food chopper, not a real food processor, so with the Ninja in addition to the larger capacity, you can chop, slice, grate, and make dough. Not sure about total power output on the KitchenAid, because I couldn't see it anywhere on the product page, but the fact that it's so limited in function in comparison to the Ninja (or any other full sized food processor), I would just go with the Ninja, myself. The prices are pretty close, too. Hope that Helps!!

I love this food processor! kzbin.infoUgkxuxrxet7NpWgQWK7mCww2lBlrKBcUIrtv I was really hesitant when I placed the order, because it is cheap as compared to the higher end ones. I debated on getting a higher end one, but decided not to, because this one had great reviews and honestly, I didn't know how often I was going to use a food processor. Little did I know that I was going to use it pretty often and it is amazing. I don't use it every day, but at least a few times a month, and so far, it works! And grinds up things pretty fine.The one con would be the slicing and shredding blade - I don't really use it, because I don't think the veggies come out that pretty. A higher end food processor would probably do a better job, (but I really don't know). Anyway, I mostly use the S blade to grind and finely chop food and so far, it meets my needs and I'm very satisfied! Especially for the price that I paid for it!UPDATE! I have had this processor for over a year now, and I still use it constantly and it works perfectly. Such a great purchase!
