@@lemonlord7475 That's true but you have to understand that the video accumulated 3 mill views over the course of a *year* . If you look at his newest videos they already have 5 mill views in a week. 3 mill for his channel are low numbers (especially considering it took a year to get to that amount) it indicates a lack of interest. So yes the problem are the lack of views.

Im really loving these kind of unscripted videos of Felix just talking about things that he loves and enjoyed, the books, movies, Anime and Manga they are sort of like an updated version of "Fridays with Pewdiepie" where he would take his time and talk to his fans and talk about himself and his interests ok im getting too deep into it but idk i hope you'll will do more videos like this Felix.

I've decided to pick up "I Am Legend". I've only ever seen the movie, but the way you described it sounds like it comes from a far more interesting take on things. I also have potential plans to pick up Life 3.0, Beyond Good and Evil, and American Psycho if I have enough time this month! I really enjoy you doing something different, and inspiring me to get back into reading. It's a favorite past time of mine that I feel I've really let slip from me. I used to read all the time, but in my adult life I can't remember the last time I sat down and read a book from cover to cover.

I actually like the I Am Legend movie but it did not even include what made the book a classic. I won't spoil anything by discussing it further but the overarching theme/idea of the book is not captured in the movie so it will pretty much be like reading a completely different story.

Dune will be adapted to cinema in 2020, by the director of sicario,Arrival and blade runner 2049 and starring thimothee chalamet as Paul.Will be epic,But i,am afraid that will be failure in box office , like Blade Runner,because the dumb audience who prefer Fast and furious,transformers and twilight don´t like hard science fiction and sci fi books, only books that the audience read in massive scale is 50 shades of shit ,trahslight and fucker games.This things to teenagers.

Felix, you could open a book club on Goodreads or anywhere you want. I would love that, and many other people would be here for it too! I had misconceptions about The Picture of Dorian Gray but after seeing you talk about it last time, I decided to read it and I really enjoyed it. I don't have recommendations like other people do but I think it's great that I can come here and add new books on my list (on the PewDiePie channel, who would have thought!) Thank you :)

Haha, Felix, you are such a humble dude. I love how after struggling through Nietszche, you're like "Oh yeah maybe it would have been better to read it in Swedish." Meanwhile 19 out of 20 English speakers will never even attempt a children's book in another language (I have not yet made it through Ronja Rövardotter in Swedish...) Anyway, 9 months on... I love your book reviews.
@lampekartoffel5 жыл бұрын
I think the difference lies in the fact that the rest of us NEED to learn at least 1 other language apart from our mother tongue. Like how the first English book I chose on my own was American Psycho, even though I didn't understand much in the beginning I ended up progressing and enjoyed the book in the end! But great job at trying to read Ronja røverdatter (not gonna attempt writing it in Swedish), I have read children's books in Norwegian but never Swedish 😂 and that's even though our languages aren't that different 😂 (I'm a Dane)

This literature club thing is so amazing! I don't think there would have been any other year better than 2018 to start this. I feel like Felix is changing his content to be more suitable for his audience. I mean many of us may have started watching his videos as teens and back then enjoyed more gaming accompanied by mindless screaming. Now that we're older, we still do enjoy them, but we also want some serious and mature content. The literature club and Felix sharing his opinions about current topics fulfills our needs perfectly. Well done, Pewds!👊

This is exactly the reason I subscribed to you, Felix. You're funny, but can be entertaining even without cracking jokes and some rather red-pilling puns. You are a great KZbinr. All the best to you, Marzia and the pugs. I enjoyed Dune thoroughly, because I just love rich universe with very intricate details. Mainly the reason for reading Silmarillion right now in English (translated version in my mother tongue did it no effing justice). Will try American Psycho. Could be fun, despite it's very odd main "protagonist".
@joefortson61126 жыл бұрын
I haven't read American Psycho but it came up in a book about the history of literature I was reading. If it's such a landmark it must be pretty good :)

Joe Fortson you always have to take those recommendations with a grain of salt. What most consider revolutionary or creme de la creme of literature, others may find dull and strange. But yeah, will see how it is once I get through it!
American Psycho is an interesting piece in book form. Entire chapters are dedicated to discussing brands of bottled water and then almost goes straight to meticulously described sexual torture scenes. It's boring, revolting and fascinating

Hahaha I had completely different thoughts on american psycho. I also thought it was hilarious, and laughed out loud a whole lot as well. But I didn't like Patrick Bateman, I saw him as embodying everything that society conditions us to revere, but who he is at his core is profoundly unlikeable and monstrous and empty beyond comprehension, and the satire was in the idea that he is able to be both of these things (empty and succesful by societies standards) at the same time, with no pushback from the world around him whatsoever.. I honestly thought the point of the violence was to be overboard and to make him so repulsive to the reader that nobody could want to be like him, even though he has everything we want,, to shine a light on how shallow and meaningless the ideal held up by society (we live in one) is.. I had a hundred keks when you said the violence wasn't overboard, I thought that was the point xD Guess you're a psychopath or I'm... whatever the opposite of that is.
@mckennagoss96465 жыл бұрын
Julien McIver this is forever late BUT I didn’t think the book was nearly as funny as pewds did not did I like Patrick. It was an interesting plot but I agree the violence was quite overbearing at some points too.
@vegismalzeus95925 жыл бұрын
I feel them same. I hadnt read it and didnt really have plans too until I saw this review. I didnt like patrick at all. I wonder if it feels different reading it as a girl too because of the violence it made me cringe a lot, I guess the same way I guy would if he read about a mans gentials being mutilated so viciously. Still glad I read it because it was really intriguing none the less.
@3dddorota5 жыл бұрын
I found it not that funny actually but quite intriguing seeing how obsessed and observant he was about irrelevant things, it made him seem quite paranoid to retain all that information even though I know he wasn't. I found his character quite enticing which is what I think made me like him, because I got an insight into a different thought process that related to mine at times. As to the violence it made my stomach turn but that didn't stop me thinking about how innovative his methods were.
