I always used to place it, when I want to do some districts look like having wealthy peasants there. Often I combined it with some parks. Apothecary houses looks like villas in medieval realms XD

i really love the healign that was added with the patch. its like a medical station u can call your units back when they done a job.

always build a few with that mod so I can heal my crossbowmen over time guarding walls and troops back from a failed skirmish that survived wish they where like this in all games T_T

Thanks for noting their usefulness in UCP. I find that, depending on how many & what quality of troops you're using, they can become extremely useful. Plus, they also heal the Lord, albeit extremely slowly. Can save your hide though, sometimes!

Yeah, the apotechary heals a fixed about per heal, so since the lord has a lot of hitpoints it takes a while, and it's for the better.

It enables the lord to be an active attacking/harrassment unit. I started using him that way, he can make big trouble to enemy's outer economy, for example. The damage to him in the light of apotecaries becomes inconsistent.

I think disease should be heavily buffed. Make them spread from peasant to peasant, soldier to soldier, and everytime someone's killed by disease it should spread more rampantly, like virus sniper in Yuri's revenge

To be honest I played S2 a lot and even though they write that I have never actually seen him heal my lord. I had lord with yellow health and built him yet I ended up with yellow health like 1 hour later.

I used to just observe the lord's activities in free build like feasting, going to the church, going to get healed in the apothecary after fighting off wolves, bears, or bandits, and sneaking to the bed chambers for... a lil something **wink** lol

ladderman have only one use: you make unit cap of them and then turn them to unemployed and max taxes. This is only use of them.

I dont know I find The oil Pot to Be useful: when The Enemy gets inside The Castle they Will attack it and destroy it meaning they Will burn alive 😄 Also pouring oil is just something I like 😅 Im a sadist

Plague events should be a thing in skirmishes. Just like diseases being spread by gong and rats in Stronghold 2.

I think you should extend the tier list from S to D into S to F. your arrangements are top heavy, maybe we can sort them out. on the topic of disease, you got right on it. not many players would opt to build dairy farms just to throw the cows around.

UCP brings Apothecaries straight into S tier, for me. Especially if you utilize the multiple workers glitch. Do that enough times, and close enough to the enemy, and you'll have an army of nearly-immortal soldiers.

Always found using plague to be very usefull 1 nobody builds apothecaries 2 they are amazing against tightly packed units 3 even if they dont kill the units it sofents them up enough so you can win trades more easily. In almost every game I had atleast 1 treb launching cows to soften up castles before a siege

I only recently discovered the benefits of starting plague in enemy castles. Seems to be a lot more prevalent in Stronghold, then Crusader! And only really seems to be effective if you have a lot of patience 🤔

I loved this building and a healer when I was yonger and didn't understood what are they doing. They have good design and many details, so I almost always build at least 1 to make my people healthy. After few years, I understood that it's useless and I just didn't built any of them.

Apothecaries seem to be one building which could have been useful if it was balanced properly, like make the AI throw dead cows more often and make the size of the cloud larger/last longer. I haven't played the UCP, although sounds like they did the building justice. Hunting post is another building I find should have been integrated into the game better (should be deer on most maps, etc.).

Happy to know that now you know the importance of Apothecary. I believe that nothing is useless in any type of SHC. This is my favourite game yet, it is perfect and the best video game ever. Thank you and best wishes to your research, you are really doing hard but good work, the world must appreciate it, want to know about exactly equal power of different troops unit on the basis of skirmishes between them. That means exactly how many knights are equal to the swardsmen & so on, & also want to know that within 5 minutes with all your best skill how many gold coins you or one can collect with only 2 stone queries+weapon production without iron could you please? you can get 2 wheat farms and 4 bakery and ure good for the entire rest of your gameplay for small amount of grass and land space :)

I think the pitch pot thing is worse than this for the primary reason that an engineer with a pot only has one charge of fire before reloading, a very short range to use the pot for, and not much accuracy. The Fire Thrower may be pricier but their ammo is unlimited, and an archer with a brazier targeting pitch is more reliable than both of those, as is a Fire Ballista.

Apothecaries are great to reduce dmg from cows, but at the end of the day, nobody uses cows if you can kill easier whit stone barrage
