Is anyone else worried for the people they interviewed? Seriously, they revealed their full names and didn't even bother to blur out their faces; If those people weren't on the secret police's watchlist before, they definitely are now.
@nickkowalski5209
@nickkowalski5209 3 жыл бұрын
Two things here: 1 - the police know their names and faces, most of them. They work as independent (i.e. unlicensed) journalists, at illegal (i.e. any non-progoverment) rallies and they're the first ones to get the beating and fines. And of course the police keeps their records. 2 - I don't think the police here is smart enough to look through KZbin videos in foreign languages, but as mentioned above they don't really need to
@tochka832
@tochka832 3 жыл бұрын
the thing about media exposure, - their faces and names are known outside of the country. it means that if something 'suddenly' happens to them - it's not a inner story, journalists could make stories with them as strugglers making a lot of exposure what is really happen and to what extreme

HOW IRONIC. As it turns out, Phoebe (Friends actress Lisa Kudrow) went to Belarus between 2005-2010 to uncover what happened to her Jewish great-grandmother, and found out she had perished in the Holocaust, with the Nazis' 1941 "Operation Barbarossa" invasion of the Soviet Union. It was part of her celebrity-genealogy TV series "Who Do You Think You Are?" shown here in the States. Try looking it up here on KZbin, you'll be in quite a shock like you won't believe.

Bro... Says you, an outsider who has no real idea what's going on... It's easy to film miserable or poor people and then blame the system. But then you realize those people have been living like rats and parasites. Not studying, not working,... Just drinking, partying and telling everybody to F off. That's cool and all but just don't cry afterwards, you made your choice despite all the warnings and all the people trying to stop you. Do you have ANY idea how many Ukrainians are on vacation while their country is being invaded?? They are at beaches, resorts, hotels, drinking, partying,.... Not giving 1 flying F! And we in the West pooring them with millions (even billions!) of $$$ and guns... How stupid and dumb are we. In fact that's EXACTLY how they view us... Dumb and stupid. Yeah I would be "grateful" too.... But those things cost others to make! Like money, resources and vacations for example. You think they are genuine... Seems like you never REALLY met one of them. It's easy to smile and say thank you... But that doesn't mean they are "genuine". That can also be how MF's steal from you! A life with dignity is not exactly a Right... It's also a choice! You think those people want to study, work and dedicate their lifes to the greater good?? Actually they don't! They just want to live out of others... Work, effort and money. THAT'S their mindset and system. You can't tell me that a drunk or a whore deserves dignity... They don't even have that for themselves!

Horrible. As a resident of this country, I’ve never seen my country like this before, perhaps because I live very close to Poland… In some places, it seems like it's a little too much. I’ve visited many places in Belarus, but I’ve never seen such an apocalyptic post-Soviet union… Everywhere was always somehow clean and tidy. But here, it's like it was filmed somewhere in the depths of Russia in the 90s. God, how do these people live like this... 😢

Great video! There's one thing missing though, you should have included information what language they speak. The guy from Belorussian TV spoke Russian and the guy from Belsat spoke Belorussian. So what happens in Ukraine and Belarus is the languages gain momentum, people who don't speak them start to learn it. Honestly, language places huge role in the nation identity and it strengthens the desire to gain true independence.

@@legendmk52 Macedonia is not like Belarus. It is an democracy and has rule of law. I mean, you don't have the homicide rates of Russia but that doesn't mean Eastern Europe is less violent than Western Europe. Ukraine has a civil war at their East. And her coach was upset because she criticized the coach and i was so confused and then i saw this now. I didn't know Belarus is a dictatorship country 😱 that's why going home is a bad idea.
