You got the wrong end of the stick about my 'freebies' comment, I wasn't saying we should buy players I was saying if we are getting money why are we picking up guys who other clubs around are level don't want. Doesn't make sense and blocks the way for our youth players. We might be lucky with them we occasionally are but for every Duffy or Fleck there is a Zivkovic, Washington, Verrips, Rodwell, etc

Also in terms of the takeover I don't think people are panicking in terms of bringing in quality players it's more we're getting closer and closer to the season starting and yet again we don't have a good enough squad to start, we're already playing catch up with the points deduction so we need to hit the ground running and we don't have a team to do that at the minute because everything's last minute yet again.

Takeover embargo...efl states a club under a Takeover cannot sign contracted players from another club. Unattached players can be signed if the club has less than 23 senior professionals.

It's alright getting players that could cut it if we got promoted but they aren't going to go cheap. Yes we do need to sign a few players that can make the transition but we also need players that are going to get us there your Madine's, your Crainie's, your Stearman's, your Hogan's because they knew if we got promoted they weren't going to come up with us but knew the journey to get us up there and if we didn't make it they could probably get another deal so it was win win for them, get a promotion to the prem on their cv or get another contract with us and try again

A point about the media. It's all negative about Utd like that we are missing out on this player and that player (these are rumours and we may not actually be interested in said player). And then it's positive for the other side of sheffield/their manager. I know which club I'd sooner be we have players/assets worth millions they don't. We are in a much better position than they are and have been above them for years. Not saying there is a huge gulf on the pitch but in overall club we are way ahead. We are always portrayed as penny pinching in the media but the reality is that most championship clubs are operating at huge losses every year. The perception is we are doing things right/long term for sustainability. Making the bridge up to established prem league is of course very difficult. I just think some fans don't live in the real world and would never be happy unless we spend and are run very recklessly.

Souza will be a top player. He was the scapegoat of the fans the same as McGuire was at Man UTD while the rest of the team got a free pass. I've never booed a Blades player and I've seen far worse. It's ok saying people pay so have a right but I also pay and I don't want the players to not want to come on the pitch. It's happened before and it never helps. They even booed Gibbs-White after all he did while on loan with us. Do they have any brain cells?

Drivel mate. Comparison with Maguire makes no sense. Lindelof got hammered way more by the pundits who defended Maguire week in week out. Fans also slated him endlessly. McTominay, De Gea, Pogba, Rashford, Lingard, Martial, Fred, Onana have all been scapegoated or were scapegoated at some point. Maguire has been shocking for most of his career in the premier league.
