Stumbled across your channel today, I too bought the exact same risers and have been a bit hesitant to change mine (being a real mechanical ming mong!). I am 5’9”, so I’m a lanky b@stard compared to you - hhahaahahahaa! Nice idea with the tape! Do you think putting a few drops of Loctite threadlocker would be a good idea or not? As a belt and braces approach really. I don’t have a torque wrench, so would just tighten them by ‘feel’. Cheers.

Hey Matt, grab yourself a tourque wrench from Toolstation (assuming your UK). 92 click on mine. And yes, a really easy install. Gotta say, loctite is an inspired idea! Good call. At 5’ 9 you’d tower over me. ;o ). Dig out the tools and crack on. Used mine the other day and they are brilliant! ;o )

@@ItsAdventure nice one, cheers. Yeah I’m in the Home Counties. Loving that 4 and (5) points of the UK trip. That sounds a must. The old GSA is just itching to be rode, and having a decent trip like that set up, just ticks boxes!!! Thanks for the quick reply man. All the best. Matt

Hey Ati, the ones i used are Wunderlich 38mm risers. On the Wunderlich site there are a bunch of new designs that have been bought out more recently. I paid about £90 from Nippy Normans. You may get a better rate going direct. Today im getting my bike ready with some new parts to help with distance riding as i have some long runs pending. So look out for new stuff on the bike soon. Cheers. Rich ;o )

No Worries Matt. Don't under estimate how tough it can be though. Its over 1200 miles & in 4 x days, averages at 300+ a day. If you can, stretch it out. Especially the Corradach Mor (west) point! Its flippin gorgeous there but the road is horrible! It's the first time ever i felt sea sick on a bike. Happy riding! Rich. ;o )
