Are Cast Nets Good for Catching Creek Chubs?

You need a smaller meshed net if you want to catch small baits. Most nets you buy use 3/8" mesh. You need 1/4" mesh.

One time I lost a Minnow trap for hours because it rolled down a drop off and I didn’t tie it down in the pond so me and my cousin had to wear goggles and try to find it. It was like 30 feet deep

The size of the mesh is too big. They can swim out of the holes. Buy a 3/16" mesh for small minnows.

Trust me cast netting is by far the best option!!! Need bigger minnows or smaller diameter mesh net
