Rabbit Hunting with a Youth Shotgun (catch and cook)

The reason that you keep missing with that gun is that it is a youth model. It is made for shorter arms so you are not getting a proper site picture. You would do better with an adult 22, pellet gun or 20 gauge. I tried using my daughter's youth 20 gauge pump and could not hit spit. Enjoyed the video keep up the good work and Merry Christmas. PB

Not to mention the fact that he was also aiming where the rabbits were instead of doing a steady lead ahead of the rabbit or even doing a sweep-through and firing ahead so the rabbit would run into the pattern during travel. A lot of people do the same thing while bird hunting so it seems like the same principles would apply, at least from what I could tell.

Great fun to watch, try thin surgical gloves that fit tight on your hands, these will allow you to operate your gear and keep the rain/ wind of your hands. I use in winter here fishing 👍

And this, boys and girls, is why we always shoot a few paper plates or something before we go out with a gun we aren’t familiar with 🙂. Not ethical for the animals, and definitely expensive on shells. Looked like one tasty meal in the end though.

Now if that shotgun was loaded with a slug or sabot then I could see maybe getting away with calling it a bullet but since he was hunting rabbit, he was most likely using small game load shells. So Karen, I mean tammy, I'm not being sarcastic and I'm not stupid, I just know that shotguns dont take bullets they take shells. You dont run down to the gun store and get your 12 gauge bullets, you get it shells

I think you have a shortened barrel, I use a 410 with no4’s no problem, try patterning your gun again.
