I find the main thing when buying cheap knives is make sure they actually have weight. Many cheap knives are made out of very thing stock, making them nearly worthless as throwing knives. Generally speaking, heavier is better...I mean there is a thing as TOO heavy but I do not think you need to worry about that when buying cheap knives.

Very good question. Knife throwers all around the world use improvised means for throwing more often then a cheap knives, that's because for a beginner the hardest is to find something cheap and well made. On my way there were quite a few broken knives, some costs about $ 5 but still live after long trails. I would say better is training with different knives to find the perfect one

Awesome! My shoulder is doing better. I decided to warm up with a tire iron I modified. It helped me throw using half spin. It's heavy, but it carrys a lot of energy to the target with minimal effort. Just a tip for us all. Thank you Adam!

That's awesome man! I gave three sets away to get ppl interested They were all cheaper Amazon knives like sczo and cold steel knives. Once I started getting customs But, I've taught 3ppl in three days half spin with Arrows! I'm a no spin thrower with few half spins lol. anyways I was interested if your 8mm sharpblade Arrows is there a way I could buy a set of the 8mm I have a set of hybrids from another maker which are 8mm anyways let me know if I can get some from sharp blades. I like 8mm!

A buddy gave me a set of those to start out with too, so funny. 1st thing I did was cut off that stupid cord & wire wheel off the glue. No complaints, free is awesome & now I'm throwing. Really liked the no reload explanation. Going to try right now!

good all round throwing session, Michael has a lot of potential and skill awaiting to be unlocked from what ive seen in the previous vids, I started out using a set of Hibbens knives myself, nothing wrong with a set of those being your first starter set, if anything at all, by the time he can afford a better set, he'll pretty much well will be good to go after all the training and practice he's done using them and transitioning to better custom quality set will be no problem, just from personal experience, learning and mastering the basics and all that you can with those will = beast mode when better knives can be afforded, props to you and your friends in this video bro :) good watch

Hey there, Thanks for the videos! Very inspiring, and has gotten me to dust off my Gil Hibbens throwers (Even playing with the idea of trying making my own based on seeing your arrows). So far, I've successfully (Reasonably successfully) thrown screw drivers, butter knives, and my Mora knives (extra careful with those razors!) I have a couple tomahawks I am going to start practicing with, but I was curious about throwing a Kukri, I know they were supposed to be designed for throwing (I think I remember reading that, but my brains have been rattled like a martini enough times, I tend to not remember things too well). Would you think a traditional half spin, or no spin would be best with something that hefty and unwieldly ? At any rate, thanks again! definitely having a lot of fun getting back into this!

Good to see you healthier Adam, I appreciate all the tips and info you've provided in Knife Throwing. You really helped me a lot develop my skills, so thank you! I started out with some black Smith & Wessons and they served me well to start out over the past several months. Just recently got a few Cold Steel products and a new 8 oz EDC knife (5160 steel) that I want to learn to throw properly. I'd definitely recommend something no less than 4 oz to others starting, anything lower and it just seems too light imo. Soon I'll grab some Flying Steel, Bullseye Blades, and Sharp Blades as my skills develop. Those are true beauties! Can wait to start making my own too!
