Exactly sending kids to boarding school shows u don't want to do the work. Plus, u hands on in nurturing. Spending quantity time which goes so fast.

My parents forced me to waste seven years of my teen life in a stupid Kirikiri prison yard sh*thole they called boarding school. To this day I'm still traumatised but they expect me to get over it. Yeah, they can talk, considering they didn't send their other children to boarding school, just me.

What's this thing w/boarding school? I thought parents would want 2 raise & nurture their kids. Sending them in the hands of strangers will always be risky.

Sometimes the parents also don't make things easy, when your kids are bullied you should address it in the school not make the child feel like they are weak and cannot defend themselves.

I guess boarding schools are different nowadays. I was at boarding school in Igbobi College in the mid 70’s. It toughened me up and sowed the seeds of achievement in me. I wouldn’t trade the experience for anything.

This is the prob by saying these abusive acts toughens u up. When it's wrong. Abuse is abuse. It should nvr be tolerated. Traumatizes & it'll affect u mentally. Tho u strived to excel, ur mental health has been affected. Hence the reason 9ja is very oppressive society. It's bullying culture stem fr school & home.

I said boarding house was good for me - it instilled discipline - you had a rigid timetable to follow, you had your chores, you had your study time and you learnt to respect hierarchy. I never said abuse was good, nor did I suffer any abuse. I speak for myself.

WELDONE ladies, merry xmas and a new year in advance. Bullying has been for so long morayo, I remembered when I was in school, my seniors will draw a car on the board and draw a filling station and ask me to push the car into the filling station which is impossible and if I don't they collect my food money.
