that tells me that there are 8000 pitchers d1 and d2 combined that are sitting between 84 and 100 mph. throw in the juco naia d3 and you would easily have 10000 kids sitting 84-100 in all of college baseball. Thats mind blowing.

Rough numbers but not far off.

Hi Alex, My son is a freshmen in HS and is a MIF that has been a legit switch hitter since he started. Hits for high AVg both sides not much for power yet as he is still small but growing rapidly. My question is hitting from both sides a quality that is like a bonus for recruiting or not so much? Thank you for all your helpful info you put out!
@RecruitingwithAlex Жыл бұрын
Hitting from both sides is always attractive!

If you start to see any splits in avg. Or power as he develops that favor the left side..stay there. Its a left handed hitters game

I am a freshman at an NAIA school, and I was curious if I could have a talk with you about what D1 recruiters look for in a transfer kid. Looking to transfer after this year. I am an outfielder with a 6.6 60 and hit .380 my senior year, and I am also a RHP topping around 88-89 this year. What do you recommend for me in order to get noticed by D1 schools, and get into contact with them?

Question, one of my friends has always been a great catcher, and really wants to get into certain this D3 school for baseball, however, his freshman year, his arm got really messed up, and had him out from behind the plate until the start of his senior year, he’s not the greatest hitter, but he’s an amazing defensive catcher, if he ever got his arm truly fixed, and played great defense, do you think there’s any chance a D3 school would want him?

Possibly yes!

I have heard before as you said, that college teams and even pro teams just look for shortstops and fill their infield with all shortstops, to get the most athletic team possible. Same with centerfielders. So would you say its harder to make it to the next level if you don't play in the middle of the field?
@RecruitingwithAlex10 ай бұрын
Not every team is like that. Meaning recruit only shortstops and centerfielders. But yes it can be a little harder if we are not a catcher, pitcher, shortstop, or centerfielder.
