As someone who started on console and moved to PC I've always thought you could make the argument that the console players in any given rank are better than PC players because they've reached their rank despite the lower frame and the higher input delay that comes with it. If you gave a console player a PC that gets 200+ fps and a few weeks to adjust almost guarantee they show a big improvement in rank.

The hilarious thing is that people who are saying "don't put cross platform on" are actually saying their platform is WORSE. If you have cross platform on = Your team is guaranteed to have someone on your platform, and the opponents team is completely random. So on average, you actually have more people on your team that share your platform than the opponents. If you're losing more with it on, that means the team that is losing has more players on average of your platform than the other. So you're actually arguing against your platform.

I’m a PlayStation player, and there is a better platform, pc as they have things that console players just dont have like custom maps, and to all you Xbox players I’m sure that you all are just as good as PlayStation players or it’s your controller as even if you don’t know it, it MIGHT be harder to play on :)

Input delay I casually play on xbox and competitive on PC, it just feels sharper, dropped to silver 2 from gold 3 when playing on xbox, back up to gold 3 after playing on pc

Yeah, people don't realize how bad they are in the moment, and are generally not even good enough to realize a better player when they see one. I could smurf in plat and they would have no idea unless I went for some mechanical play. The difference from a plat and a diamond for example can be really subtle, especially when you take aerials out.

Diamond 1 here. People have mistaken my gameplay for gold and champ in the same replay at different times. I am a faster silver with ground mechanics. That's pretty much it.

@@DigitalJedi Here's what I say, if you are below or in a rank, you cannot judge that rank (eg. Plats can't judge plats or higher, but MAYBE golds). If you haven't climbed out of that rank you really don't know the nuances of what makes a better player. I've sat in a call with one of my gold friends arguing with another one of our friends saying he shouldn't be in diamond, he's a plat, whereas he really has no experience, and that's really the issue. However, even a GC can't really tell about a silver's rank either, just cause they haven't been at that rank in so long. People just need to accept that they're in their rank for a reason and stop being butthurt that they're not higher ranked.

On Playstation I only ever made it to gold 2, I then stopped playing rocket league for 2 years and reinstalled it on my PC, got ranked into Plat after 10 matches without any warmup, glad to see my experience represented lmao

One match from each platform means nothing. This whole “test” is convoluted. You need to do hundreds and even thousands of matches with different players in order to get a good set of data of which platform is better. This is waaaaay too small of a data pool
