Very interesting to see the design process! Flying machines have always been intimidating to me, but this made them seem a lot more approachable.

Well hello there :) I did a playlist of different sizes early on. Flying machines are not too bad with practice. The old school ones before observers @whitestonejazz did are brilliant but a bit scarier to me.

That's an interesting way to do flying machines. It makes sense to use the push limit but I haven't seen (the way you do it) (or just haven't realized) it before

There are actually several ways to do it. I managed to build a 3x3 elevator in a short without speeding it up by using pistons facing backwards. extended they don't add to the count.

I love your builds so much :) Going to be incorporating them into a big tower base project. Yes I did find you via 3x3 elevator because I was dreaming small ;) (and because I wanted a multi-floor design) But I think I'ma use this 7-diamond design :D and try and figure out how to adapt it to multi floor, but you explained those mechanics pretty well so I should be able to do it ez
