If you buy the golden ticket on the last day, you will still get the points for all the quests. That is why it is worth timing the purchase of the golden ticket for the very last time, when the VIP increase rewards you. Because you don't lose anything with it if you don't do the golden ticket quests.

Red Chest 2 is only a tip of the iceberg. There are other useless items such as EXP potions, gold, Polemarch Gloves (strength heroes are the least abundant). Also Gift of the Dominion is the weakest grand prize of all the seasons because totems and Gift of the Sanctuary are both over 200k emeralds. And with item shop events every month, items not are not such a big issue anymore. I bought the ticket for the last time this month because I need the gift for my main team but if they dont fix it I wont buy it anymore. That's the only way to make them listen.

If it's worth it at all is debatable. But it's worth more than emeralds on sale for sure. Without knowing much about the value of certain things, if you don't spend anything else, you get the keys there for the 20k emeralds on the map. And the path has 14k emeralds on it's own. That 34k alone is hard to beat with 45$ and low VIP. (You don't get event task completion this way though.)

Yes you can use it whenever you want but you can only exchange it for 50k emeralds once you have all your heroes developed to max. Otherwise you have to use it which is annoying. I wanted to exchange it in the past and could not do it. Same goes for the pet gift. You can only exchange it once all your pets are developed. I think Nexter should let the players decide if they want to exchange a gift into emeralds and not forbit it before everything is developed.

"The golden ticket is a good value if you spend money on Hero Wars." The caveat is unnecessary since if you don't spend money on the game you wouldn't get the golden ticket anyway. Honestly, all regular season golden tickets are worth the price. It's simply a matter of whether or not you're willing to spend money on the game and budget. To go over how every season is worth the price, nature/cosmic season is easily worth it because it's the only way to guarantee a totem fragment without being in a top guild in your server, champion season is easily worth it because it ultimately cuts down quite a bit of item farming, and pet season is worth it because it cuts down how long it takes to level/evolve/rank up pets, which is quite a long time (this means you don't have to focus on Great Storm as much.
