TES universe isn't vast there is a finite amount of space and a physical membrane separating the different areas of the cosmos. Even the cosmos as we see them in game isn't exactly true, the planets and moons are only there because our mortal minds are not strong enough the comprehend the power of gods. Also as for the Kalpa, we already know the next kalpa's from Coda and the future is cyberpunk Argonians with howitzers... We need Kirkbride back in charge lol. HP Lovecraft would be the real connecting force between the 2 universes just like he was with Doom and Quake.

Thank you for at least understanding kalpas. This is the only version of this theory I can support as it is part of the theme of the Elder Scrolls. That world is not the same world it used to be but it's not like it's just a future version of that world. The entire world changes at its core. It is a whole new universe every kalpa essentially.

What crossed my mind was when the Nukes were dropped on Fallout, a bunch of scandinavians took off in a rocket ship and were in suspended animation for thousands of years. Then they landed on Tamriel and been there for along time. One lore in Skyrim or is it ESO was that the Nords are unknown where they came from. So that's where Starfield might be involved on how they got there. I haven't played Starfied yet, so I'm just thinking outload. It could be an interesting quest in all three games.

One left. Not enough for the rest of the journey, but if they can just ration it… but what's this? Off in the distance, they spot what appears to be the body of a pack brahmin. It is! Even at this distance, they can see its only bones, but it may still have leftover supplies! With all their might, they sprint towards the fallen animal, ignoring the aching feeling in their legs. They reach the skeleton, rummaging through the pack that cling loosely to its bones. They manage to recover some loot: caps, cram, and a couple of 10mm rounds. That's when they spot the glint. Within the ribcage of the brahmin lies a strange item, reflecting the light of the sun. It's spherical, white, and has some otherworldly energy to it. The wastelander reaches out, mesmerized by the object. Perhaps it held some value? They could sell it for some caps if they find the right buyer. Oh, the things they'll buy! Chems to forget their worries, a good meal to fill their grumbling stomach, and perhaps they'll treat themselves to an ice cold Nuka-Cola. The "god head" is a computer in the Wasteland, running a haistly made crude copy of the world, made as a last resort to survive as ugqualtoth awoke. It's a small processor so things got garbled a bit as they were saved and some things got muttled. Super mutants became orks and goblins, the behemoths into giants. The radiation becoming the source of magic. The mutations turning into beast races. Especially after eons of running long forgotten off of a nuclear battery, buried under the desert the world became after ugqaltoth awoke.

I haven't watched the video yet, but I think the only way it's possible for the two to be in the same universe, is if they were in separate universes in the same cosmology. It's technically possible with the godhead lore from TES, if say, somebody achieved the highest level of chim and maybe ascended high enough to escape the dream, becoming another godhead, and dreaming up the Fallout universe. This could also explain why there are similarities between the two; like memories from Tamriel that the godhead still has seeping through into it's dream. That's my shared universe theory anyways

Fallout has a root in different corporate entirely. Bethesda creates Elders Scroll series from the beginning, Fallout was created by Interplay (and Black Isle being designated division in Fallout 2 project). so I don't think the two universes are one. and both Brian Fargo and Tim Cain inteded Fallout to be a distinct universe entirely, no crossover attempts with any other medieval fantasy D&D or AD&D games. and not even with Lionheart which is the only medieval fantasy that uses SPECIAL system. (Arcanum, which created by Tim Cain and some Fallout crew who left mid-project doesn't). Rather Lionheart is more likely set in the same universe as Fallout, (and 'Magic' thing caused divergence maybe :P )

My personal theory for the two moons issue is gravitational capture. And it is possible, just really unlikely. The way I see it is that the larger moon is the capture which would explain it's relative size. And the stable orbit could come from the other moon being thrown further out but still stable enough to orbit the planet. It's not a pretty theory by any means, but it does provide a realistic explanation for why the second moon exists, and one we know can happen in real life, if exceedingly rare and unlikely.
@TheHazyTimewalker5 ай бұрын
I actually mentioned this myself, not long ago, but didn't realize you'd commented it lmao I would wager it's a lot more common than you're posing, considering most of the moons of other astral bodies within our solar system were likely gravitational captures, but while it is a REALISTIC theory, it doesn't seem like such is the case given the many other differences between the two worlds. However, I'm glad someone else had the same thing to point out as myself!

Their 110% are not the same universe. Fallout is earth set in Milky Way galaxy and follows our reality timeline till the point we invented the micro-chip which is where we in reality separate from the fallout universe as they didn't invented the micro-chip and thus relied on atomic power. The Elder Scrolls universe is set in Arubis and the plane of existence (as they don't have "galaxy's") is called Nirn, and the content is Tamriel. Hope this clarifies everything.
@st.anselmsfire35475 ай бұрын
There's a Magnus-sized hole in this theory, though: the Fallout universe operates more or less like our own (even the eldritch "gods" are apparently sufficiently advanced aliens), but the Elder Scrolls universe is an infinite magical bubble that only has linear time because an insane dragon keeps track of it. The sun and stars are actually holes in the firmament. The moons and Nirn are the corpses of dead gods. The visible planets are formerly omnipotent deities who were mostly stripped of their powers to give the universe form. Every other planet is the playground for an evil deity. The Elder Scrolls universe operates on completely different rules.

I feel like this is an Easter egg that has gone out of control, no they are not in the same universe. Any person that is deep into Elder Scrolls lore will tell you every reason it’s not possible. The elder scrolls takes place in a world that does NOT resemble our universes cosmology. Fallout takes place on earth in what we would consider to be our universe. There are too many moving parts in both worlds for them to coexist. One thing I always find funny about these theories is the people who push this narrative are either Fallout fans who don’t play elder scrolls or people who like to conveniently overlook big details. For example, the “sun” in TES universe is a hole in aetherius created by a fleeing divine being named Magnus, this hole is where all magic comes from. But hey don’t take my word for it. Pete Hines, the marketing executive for Bethesda said in an interview at E3 2017 that these games not connected. So there you go. That’s why it doesn’t make sense.

I think it was this cabobolated sentences anyway. Starfield, It would definitely help on the sales of Starfield if they're all connected. Not much though by the sounds of it. I haven't played it yet.

There is only two Fallout games; Fallout and Fallout 2. So it's not even the same devs or publisher. Easy answer.
@Sam_Hammercolt20205 ай бұрын
Maaaaaan come on. Don't even go there. The games are just referencing each other. And if they truly did share a universe it would be a shared multiverse. If you work off on the lore of the godhead (or godmind I forgot what it's called) you learn that other beings in the elder scrolls universe can achieve something called Chim and then eventually Ameranth. Not I'm not sure if I'm spelling it correctly but when you achieve that level you essentially leave the godhead and you yourself become the dreamer. So maybe just maybe there was someone who achieved Ameranth and the different universes from the games are those dreams.

Perfect way to diversify into Elder Scrolls content and I am excited for you to dig into ES lore in your format. I think there’s even more to the theory of Fallout and Elder Scrolls being connected that you could expand on. I have been a fan of Fallout since 3 but I could never get into the Elder Scrolls because I am not a fantasy guy but I finally got myself to play Skyrim a few years ago by pretending it was part of Fallout somehow and Nirn being a far future version of the fallout world was also my first ‘theory’ about this. Now that I have been able to get into ES lore I think there is a lot more to the idea of Fallout and ES to take place in the same universe (or maybe multiverse would be a more accurate term). Personally I think it is something that makes perfect sense but Bethesda should leave ambiguous like it is now, like the disappearance of the Dwemer. In my head cannon I like to pretend they are. It makes more sense for Fallout to be in The Elder Scrolls universe rather than the other way around. In ES, there are different mythologies and theories of how the world works which makes it even easier to play around with. But in general, in ES lore Nirn is part of one of many different ‘dimensions’ (ei different planes of Oblivion) that are sometimes connected to varying degrees. I think it’s totally plausible the world of Fallout is part of this multiverse of dimensions. In other words, instead of Nirn being a future version of the world of Fallout, the world of Fallout is a world in the ES universe similar to Nirn. If-Qualtoth could be the Daedric prince of the Fallout plane of Oblivion (similar to the ES theory that Nirn is a plane of Oblivion whose Daedric prince is Lorkhan. Or Ug-Qualtoth and the other eldrich influences could be different interpretations/manifestations of some of the same Daedra in the ES games- in ES this is basically how it is with each culture in the world having their own interpretation of mythology. Like I said there’s a lot of different theories in ES lore I’m sure others would be happy to expand on but lots to dig into and play around with.

There is one think that makes this theory fall apart. Nirn has two moons

Didn't the devs say specifically that they arent in the same universe, and that they just loke easter eggs? Shouldnt that be the end of discussion?
@DarthGTB5 ай бұрын
BTW, I'm not sure about Skyrim, but if I'm not wrong, the texture for the red moon in Oblivion was the planet Mars. Maybe it's more like a double planet situation with a moon orbiting both planets

Why? I feel like people who think that are just stretching, and it would ruin both worlds
@saerbhreathach5405 ай бұрын
No they are NOT connected in the slightest other than Bethesda deciding to cram Nirnroots into all of their games.... JFC when did people forget what an Easter egg is? By this logic TES and Doom are in the same universe. But again that's NOT the case... Really wish Bethesda wouldn't do Easter eggs. All it does is cause muppets to jump to false conclusions...🙄🤦🏼♂️

Why limit it to those two? Nuka Cola is sold in Wolfenstein: Old Blood. And in my Headcanon the Death Knight from Quake Champions is a Draugr too :D

All the references and creation club stuff could be canon simply because two identical things can exist in different universes even though he chances are abysmal. People need to stop wishing everything is connected, not everything is a Marvel movie.

are fallout and the elder scroll in the same universe? short answer no, long answer nooooooo

No. The Fallout and Elder Scrolls games don't even exist in their own canon universes between games. Just once I would like to see someone with a concept of modal logic do a video on different worlds and how that works.

I personally think the connections are just easter eggs by the devs tbh, but the theory crafting is cool none the less.

100% no. I prefer my TES and FO like oil and water. Better off superior on their own than in some downgraded shared universe. Not everything needs to be connected. It's bad enough that Fallout 4 and 76 are in the same universe as 1, 2, 3, and NV.

Since I learned of Ug-Qualtoth in the Fallout games, it's been cannon in my head that he was a Daedric prince or some kind of lesser god from the Elder Scrolls lore. Perhaps they exist in the same universe but different galaxies. He turned out so evil he was cast out from the ES galaxy. Wandering the cosmos until finding the Milky Way. Then finding Earth to try to control. His attempts were for naught as humanity promptly destroyed everything leaving him short of worshipers and power. Ghouls are draugr without the magic to stabilize them. Magic just isn't native to the Milky Way. But some carry over is still possible. Maybe through Ug-Qualtoth many of the connecting factors are possible.

@valor1omega5 ай бұрын
Sweet rolls that's people's evidence, really? Then I guess our world is connected too. All the other "evidence" is nothing more than easter eggs. Otherwise FO is connected to Star Trek because of the TOS shuttle craft that crashed in fo1 and the guardian on the edge of forever that to change the events of fo1. So if a few easter eggs equals same universe then every easter egg must tie them to those universes too.
