the concept of a 'ghost' is from the book of Luke 24 verse 39. (note: the chaos of cults, by j.k. van baalen, dutch reformed, theosophy chapter. it describes the astral plane where those forrmerly of the flesh abide). Luke 24 verse 39 is red letter and the idea of a ghost is there (in some versions). they were in magick when they were living. magick by any other name is still the same no matter what.

The prophet Samuel's appearance, the prophet Moses's appearance, and the prophet Elijah's appearance were incidental occurrences allowed by God. The fish which swallowed the prophet Jonah was a divinely crafted creature by the Lord, never to be repeated in my opinion. A donkey was granted the ability to chide the warlock Balaam via an angel from Heaven. Me and my three siblings watched/watch paranormal reality shows on television. The beings investigators contacted/contact and/or encountered/encounter weren't/aren't of Christ. Like Reverend Wagner said, they were/are fallen angels disguised as once living people. Somewhere in Scripture, there was/is Satanic infestation mentioned within physical spaces. Even apparitions of Jesus's mortal mother Mary, papist saints, and aliens were/are diabolical. The apostles believed in ghosts as did Aquinas. The dying are often visited by relatives - and also often see other ghosts who just happen to be around - and these aren't non-human entities such as angels or demons. the apt complex I live in use to be a hospital and turns out ( i found out last year after being here 5 years) that my apt is where the morgue was located. At times my apt feels like a meat locker and Ive FELT one night, an EVIL entity in here. When I followed the advice of a neighbor & said "Jesus wants you to go to the light", I thought I was gonna be punched in the face! I was terrified, my Jack Russell would NOT come in that bedroom all night! Ive seen dresser drawers open by themselves and the ladies on the 2nd floor swear they hear babies crying sometimes up there. Im thinking of asking my Pastor to come in here & anoint my apt with me. The nun down the hall will bring a priest in here at times to " bless" the building. I dont have any part in that though. Any advice from anyone?

i remember one time we went to a buddies house that had told us he was hearing stuff get thrown around in his babies room so he went in there one night to keep watch over the baby and something threw his water bottle across the room. Me and a few of my buddies went over there and started recording and everything and we werent getting anything, all of a sudden a light came on in the babies room at the end of the hall we all went running out of the house and i was the the last one out when i shut the door i held onto the knob cause i was freaked out, something tried to turn the knob from the other side while i was holding it i turned around and looked at the window right next to the door and the blinds were spread apart like someone looking outside but i could see all the way into their kitchen on the other side of the living room and i said what the **** and the blinds snapped shut. No one will ever convince me i was just making stuff up in my mind, ill never go inside that house again.

i do not know what it was.. whether it was a ghost.. a spirit.. a demon.. an angel.. i have no clue.. but i can assure you.. coming from someone who has never once suffered any form of hallucination.. or delusion.. that non visible, non physical beings can in fact interact with our world.. and this particular incident was this "entity" appearing as an old lady that was the previous owner of the house i lived in at the time.. and what makes it creepier.. is i didnt know what the previous owner looked like until i told my neighbor what i saw.. and she showed me a picture of the previous owner and it was a spot on match... i saw that picture and got chills all over.. i dont wana sit here and type ten more paragraphs.. and thats what it would take to go into details about all the things that happened in that house.. but ill say that things happened there that have NO other explaination besides something paranormal.. and i tell you its easy to laugh at me.. until it happens to you and is right in front of you.

As for the dead, however, since they know nothing, have no consciousness, their very next moment of awareness occurs at their resurrection for the judgement. Saul, having died thousands of years ago, has been in the grave all this time, has had no thoughts, but immediately upon his resurrection he will be conscious to receive his judgement. And among his final acts was to disobey the Father by visiting a necromancer. Probably not a good judgement for Saul:(

I have seen them, as well as others I have talked to. I was scared to death, and ducked back under my covers. Other people I talked as well. On one occasion 2 girls and their mom sitting together told me in detail about the ghosts they saw, in complete truth and sincerity. They all described the ghosts the same way. Actually when God said that, it was Adam and Eve's spiritual death. They knew nothing about their bodies dying, and because of that satan had to teach them how to die, by teaching them to speak words of death. That is why it took them so long to die back then. But the Samuel figure spoke the word of God to Saul, including the death of him and his sons. This could have been a demon, or an angelic messenger disguising itself as Samuel, but that doesn't really make sense with the character of God and the rest of scripture. The figure is clearly portrayed in these verses as Samuel. I think Pastor Todd brings up a good point about Moses and Elijah appearing to the disciples. If God allowed Moses and Elijah to appear for His purposes, I see no biblical problem with Him having alowed Samuel to appear for His purposes.

Majestic Me, I've always believed the same way. It doesn't make since that someone not of God, nor for Him, would God allow something He's dead against. However, Tommy D makes a valid point. God often allows shocking (to us) things to occur to those who are not His people or to those purely against Him. Like sending an evil spirit of torment and confusion (1 Sam. 16:14), or when He's blinded and made deaf for those who will not see nor hear His message of Truth. Like when He has hardened hearts. Or when He says He will appear as a Deceiver to those who are that themselves. (1 Kings 22:22,23, Ezekiel 14:9, 2 Thess. 2:11, Isaiah 6:8-10) When of course God is anything but that because He is Truth, to lie is against His very nature. We will not always understand God, mainly His ways. But we already know this, God tells us of this fact. (Isaiah 55:8-9 & Proverbs 3:5-6) God's main reason for us to not call upon the dead is to protect us, from all harm that comes from doing that. But the curse of the Lord is on the house of the wicked, so He could definitely allow any kind of evil, lie, or Truth brought in deception, (like Saul doing what he did, but it actually being God Himself Who showed up, Afterall that "physic" lady called what she saw, "God") but God allowing Saul to believe he actually got Samuel. Allowing all that would befall those who are not His Own.

Why are the dead righteous said to go to heaven when in Revelation it says the prayers of the souls were given linen and to rest more to wait for the rest of their brothers and sisters to be martyrs. All dead are all resting in their graves. Only a few that God has taken to heaven are there. Moses & Elijah are sure. Enoch could be or not... He walked with God, and he was no more because He died. Neighbours later told us they had heard about 'the ghost' and were interested (and relieved) when we said "no, it wasn't a ghost, it was a Demon but it has been dealt with".

So what are the silhouette of a person that’s blacker than the darkest black. I’ve only seen them one time straight on as I began to reposition in bed around 2:45 am. There they were, two vanta black (so black that even the blackness seemed to be absorbed) they literally looked like two figures standing at the foot of my bed shoulder to shoulder and perhaps one had a hand on the others shoulder. The detailed sharpness of the figure as well as being literally so surprised that I stood completely stil, like when someone is under their bodies discretion and survival instinct that is so surprising that you freeze the moment you realize something is there. I didn’t feel threatened nor did I feel like they were a saint with regards to their presence. I don’t know but I felt like one was female, and one was male. The male was there as if to assure the other. People say they’re shadow people but in reality they are blacker than the blackest black hole and their shapes are extremely crisp. These days faith is tougher and tougher, but if you're like me at all, even when you doubt, you find yourself calling out to HIM. Just do it:) I go up and down, back and forth, and I've been "saved" for decades! One thing that A;WAYS brings me back to HIM is the awareness of Satan! Yep, believing in the devil has helped me maintain faith in the Father, as weird as it sounds. I see the enemy's work clear as glass, so I know for sure it's doing its best to make me stumble. My life is a series of "failures' so to speak, as I'm not successful here and now, I live on meager finances - ready for zero:)- and have but a couple of sincere friends. I've suffered depression all my life, been bullied and abused, am typically disregarded by others and often degraded by those who even take notice of me. NONE of this matters because it shows the truth of this world being manipulated by evil (for now as the Father allows), but deep within me, I KNOW it loses in the end and the glory of the Father will remain forevermore. He WILL complete the work you asked HIM to complete when you accepted salvation. Knowing your need for a savior puts you on a whole nother level than most humans whose egos won't allow such a thought. I like reading the four gospels the most, as they so clearly show Jesus and I can't help but LOVE HIM.

Sorry, but no. We make our own decision about that before we die. But, your Dad might have received salvation. It was the same way with my Dad. He never said anything about it, but he was not an open person, so he might not have wanted to tell us that he did. Just believe that he did, and don't worry about it.

Surprised how many people are agreeing with the no ghosts . I've been lucky enough to have one speak clearly and startle me even as I was wide awake and only one in room . An entire sentence in fact . It was my grandfather coming in to give me understanding . I know this because of the dream I had that night . I carried his lungs out of hospital . He died when I was a baby and I never met him I also was not aware he lost a lobe of his lung and had had surgery. That was his clever way of proving it was him that spoke . I have a few very good EVP on tape so tell me I was imagining that . Finally tho I do believe in God because after applauding his efforts on a beautiful sunset I decided to pull over and park to watch it . At that moment that time that angle straight ahead an angel in a superman flying pose was made as if painted on a blue sky with white clouds . I could see every individual eyelash it was 1080 p resolution only her fingertips and toes where whispy . She had wings and a halo and looked a bit like Christine agulira . I had a witness to this in car also who was amazed unfortunately we all had Nokia 51 tens back then otherwise the world would be seeing my photo . Anyway ghosts do exist it's just unfortunate that humans only believe in what they learn or see with their own experiences and not every person will experiences ghosts.

Demons routinely existed in this world during Biblical times and they still can. Anything legit that goes bump in the night , like so called poltergeists , or even UFOs and outer space aliens are actually demons making their presence known . I actually had a creepy experience that still scares me today. not true thats why there are mediums, if you go to the right places you can experience things for yourself. ive had experiences where no one will ever convince me they do not exist. A draft doesnt turn a doorknob or push open blinds and let them snap back shut. Many other things ive experienced, asking a oujia board questions in a group but to make sure it wasnt a subconsious thing we would ask a question only we knew the answer to and close our eyes while the others would tell us what it said and it would answer correctly.

I think Moses represents the Old Covenant and Law, and Elijah the New Covenant and what was to come under Lord Jesus Christ. It was a vision showing who Jesus was, yet they didn't understand and wanted to make shelters for them. God speaks to us in many ways, with dreams and visions and chosen angels, but never with ghosts.
