@GOA You guys just keep doing what you're doing, it does not go unnoticed. You and FPC have done more for the gun industry and firearms rights in recent years, than the NRA have done in their entire existence.

GOA has already issued a FOIA request to the ATF to see how many agents and informants were at this show. Kind of feels like cheating, but I am curious...

I really like this channel and Isaac does a good job at being the front man on camera. This channel is the one that inspired me to get into ham radio. I passed my technician license this month and I am talking on the air. Joined two ram radio clubs near me and there is like minded individuals there for sure!we live in a great time where we can share this stuff over the internet and I want to thank all the great channels out there! Like T. rex labs.

One event that I can't recommend highly enough is Palmetto State Armory's "The Gathering". It's a much smaller event along these lines, but with way more live-fire. The highlight for me is the mile challenge sponsored by Barrett. It's tons of fun.

@@alwaysbanned4812 Nuclear weapons haven't been used for their purpose but they are still an effective tool. Knowing that a capability exists can be enough to prevent fights, which is useful in itself.

Gun shows have changed a LOT over the last 10 years. SHOT & GOA show are NOT what most people consider a "gun show".

I agree. However, most folks go the gun shows to touch a product that they will later buy online, and you could totally do that at this event.

@isaacbotkintrex If those events have them, sure. I've not had a chance to go to "those big ones" yet(state side). Do they let you get hands on? The one I went to in Dubai was Look NO Touch.

@@xxxlonewolf49 you can touch almost everything at shot show, and you could touch everything here. Also, there were coffee roasters selling coffee, and some lectures and panels, so it felt very much to me like a more grown-up professional gun show, or perhaps a more laid-back localized industry show.

I just moved to Chattanooga several months ago. Never knew GOA was creating a show in Knoxville, definitely think I'll go to the next one. I've been to both ShotShow and NRA Show back when I used to work in the gun industry, but this new show definitely seems more relaxed.

Hate i missed you when you were roaming the floor, we were the green HMMWV. We had some meshtastic radios at our booth on a table to see who would ask about them. Had a good few people reconized them and a few people ask about them.

All the gun shows in my neck of the woods are stupid with half or more of the vendors not even related to the industry and most of the actual gun vendors trying to sell gold plated AK's.

It was an expo, so it’s a type of gun show, just not the normal vendor kind. It was full of guns, and they were showing them to everyone, just not selling them. (Though they sold some other stuff.)
