Somebody once asked Jimmy Hendriks how it felt to be the best guitar player in the world and he replied I wouldn't know you will have to ask Roy Clark.

I'll never forget the joy on my dad's face when we watched Roy Clark perform at the San Diego County Fair in Del Mar in June 1964, only $1 a ticket. He was so astonishingly talented and such a hoot!✨

Roy Clark could play any stringed instrument. Guitar and banjo were his favorites. He did sing and quite well. He was self taught and couldn't read music. He and Buck Owens were the hosts of a television show named Hee Haw for more than two decades. He was amazing.

Roy Clark was a master with the six string as well as the 12 string. He was a master of the fiddle and the bandjo. He loved to make people laugh. He was a pretty good singer as well.

Roy Clark was a genius and could play anything with strings. He was winning contests when he was a teenager. I think his fingers could approach the speed of light at times.

That was great! I remember watching this on "The Odd Couple" show. Roy Clark was a great entertainer, humble man & super talented. He was both a singer & musician. His guitar & banjo playing are legendary. A lot of musicians & artists today could learn a lot from his style & technique.

Member of the Country Music Hall of Fame and hosted a country music variety show called Hee Haw for about 20 years. If it had strings Roy Clark could play it. Mountain Dew is an old country music song, usually played on banjo. Great reaction

There’s a female guitarist named Charo, from Europe, I believe, who’s very well known where she lives. She plays Malagueña in a traditional way that differs from Roy’s. She’s also known as a comedienne here in the U.S. She’s well worth listening to

Roy Clark had a great singing voice, Yesterday When I Was Young was probably his biggest hit. You should react to his dueling banjos video, if it had strings he could play it and play it amazingly well.

Love Roy Clark. He was most famous as a country musician and comedian from the show Hee Haw. That part of the song you loved - the fast part with the beat… You should check out Rodrigo y Gabriela, a Mexican guitar duo who are amazing. Rock guitar influenced by Spanish flamenco & using the guitar for both melody & percussion. They became famous for a cover of Stairway to Heaven, but their original stuff - Diablo Rojo, Tacuman, etc. They also did music for one of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies.

Yes, that's right A.B. THAT is ROY CLARK. He's a master of stringed instruments. Check him out with Buck Trent in a duet "Dueling Banjo's". Roy Clark ( fiddle) with Jimmy Henley...." Orange Blossom Express" Roy with Glenn Campbell. "Ghost Riders On The Sky". Roy singing..." Yesterday When I Was Young". I fell in love with Roy when I was a teen watching him on the Country tv show called Hee Haw. Not only can Roy play several b instruments and sing s little, he's also a funny guy. Watch him do his version of Johnny Cash' song, "Folsom Prison Blues". Videos for all of these.

Roy sings. For his singing, my favorite is "Thank God and Greyhound". Another that blends guitar skill and singing with some comedy, check out his cover of Folsom Prison Blues. The black and white video from the 60s is the best and the duet with him and Johnny Cash is a close second. He has to be seen live to really appreciate what he is capable of.
