Jaan e Jahan: I don’t find Shehrams actions odd. I think they have justified why he is the way he is. He says on multiple occasions how dependent he is on his father, and how much he needs his guidance since his mother passed away. Its not completely normal but his attachment to his father makes sense to me and to me its very endearing and gives his character layers.

Jaan-e-Jahan: My rationalizing self doesn't let me enjoy most love stories due to their irresponsible writing. But this one has hooked my heart hooked. You can trust Pak writers (minus few), to ruin smth with great potential. But rn I'm putting my faith in Hamza & so far the writing looks neat. Apart from the premise, the screen presence of all actors (esp those playing antagonists) is kindling the fire. Give us these strong antagonists. And then we have the Pyare Afzal Jori, I can't help but expect fireworks in future. P.S: When Shahram was trying to see who the girl was & it cut to Ayeza's scene, I played 'Jane wo kese log they' in my head. They should really plug that in at some point.

Standup Girl: One should give this drama a chance because it introduces a fresh theme, possibly unexplored in our previous dramas, and the channel is putting in effort. The initial episode may seem somewhat underwhelming, with only a few mildly amusing scenes and somewhat lackluster humor. However, when it comes to humor, the second episode is a must-watch-it's an absolute delight, incredibly funny, and thoroughly captivating.

Jaan e jahan: I totally agree with Hasan, stories are usually similar but the direction, execution and treatment of a story makes it what attracts the audience and keeps the interest.

You should definitely watch Pyare Afzal along Jaan e Jahan , you will understand the chemistry and fireworks between the two. Aiza has the same look as Farah Ibrahim and Hamza is still the soft spoken sharmanay wala hero, however the dynamics have changed. Though the story of Jaan e Jahan could not hook me I would still give it a go, especially, after the end that Farah and Afzal got. I am treating it post their meeting after Pyare Afzal.

Stand Up Girl : I liked the fresh idea of a story of a stand comedian girl and a struggling rapper which gave me Gully Boy vibes. Very new for a Pakistani drama. Set in walled city of Lahore, showing the indigenous life and typical comedy style of walled city under the direction of Kashif Nisar , the drama looks quite promising. Looking forward.

Standup Girl: Indian and non-Punjabi here but The second episode was hilarious as well as nostalgic for me too. The scenes with the family spending hours deciding the menu totally reminded me of my mom's family back in our village. There used to be three sessions of the family having tea while deciding the dishes, chopping vegetables and then accomodating last minute changes, while constantly sending our younger cousins to ask us whether we are okay with them or if we want to include anything else. Absolutely hilarious and such a fun watch. It was also so heartwarming to see Adnan Shah Tipu and Saqib Saleem in light weighted funny roles here after their serious acts in Kabli Pulao. I am totally looking forward to this one!!

Hamza character is not weird !! It’s just that we are not used to seeing such sweet and enduring character on screen…the fact that he loves his father so much that he wanted him to sleep with him is not weird coz he is not shown to be hating his father even after his 2nd marriage just like shehryar character used to do in kuch unkahi!!! It’s something different and I liked it❤

Standup Girl: Green keeps on making unique and out of the box dramas. They can't be compared to any other channel. They have set the bar so high. Stand up girl was nice to watch. First episode was just fine but 2nd episode has set the mood. Sohail Ahmad Shb was so endearing to watch in a new avatar again. Apart from starting 2,3 scenes, Zara was so fitting for this role. Her chemistry with her real life mother was what made me invest more in her story. The seemed so real and add little nuances to their respective characters.

Yup, I judged too soon. I judged her from the first two scenes and wrote a comment but after finishing the first episode yesterday I have come to the conclusion by the time she was at her friend’s house for the wedding function she nailed it. She fitted into the character like a glove. And plus the episodes are getting better, which is good. Finally, these actresses have characters to perform!

Jaan e Jahan : I completely disagree with Amna on age, what is she talking? They look perfect for their characters, how do they don't look their age?And Mahnoor and her family is not "Gurbat"... They are decent people, with decent home, where did she sensed Gurbat? And I would love to see people like Hamza and Ayeza in these characters, I don't want to see 22 year old heros in dramas,it looks like we are watching college boys...We want that charisma of Hamza and Fawad! Ayeza Khan is my favorite actress, she's beautiful, Versatile and excellent actress. She's a sunshine☀️in this play💖 And about story, I loved the execution❤️ Direction❤ Visuals❤️ I feel this story will go somewhere, definitely it's ordinary now,but I feel it's going somewhere distinct, I'll wait🧡🍁☀️🕊️🥀 But I feel there was alot they could've explored with Asif Raza Mir's character,it was an interesting character but they wasted it... I agree with how loosely the step brother is playing, they could've showed someone else complained about his eve teasing to his father,he himself going and standing confidently was just like he walked into the lion's mouth knowingly.

Ayeza, Hamza coming back as a romantic lead after 10 years is reason enough to watch Jaan e Jahan. I am thinking of re watching Pyaray Afzal with Jaan e Jahan and would request Ammna, Hassan to do the same and dedicate one day for special review of these two dramas only, ( as they did for TB) and compare the chemistry of the lead pair 10 years apart.

J-e-J: It is a good drama that is worth watching. I really enjoyed how they portrayed family dynamics, even though it's a familiar theme. While my initial focus was on Hamza and Ayeza, I'm pleasantly taken aback by the captivating intrigue introduced by Savera Nadeem's character. I can't believe I'm saying this, but her role has truly stood out for me in these initial two episodes.

Working Women: This last episode left me numb and emotionally resonant. It reminded me of Sania Saeed’s interview with SH when she said Bee Gull is a dangerous woman. Miracles don’t happen; society is not going to change all of a sudden. These women just changed their approach towards the problems and society, and that's the only message we were supposed to get. TeeTee, Zulfi, and Kashi proved to be opportunists and manipulators and might not have conspired against these women actually but took advantage of relationships. Nusi’s mother and Aasha’s mother are perfect examples of women who, after being the victims of misogyny, become the flag bearers of misogyny. Nusi’s mother preferred to choose her son, and that is very much according to our society. Sadia was fearless, difficult to manipulate, so she was killed. That was the most shocking incident of all. We saw some good men too, like Hashmat’s brother-in-law and Sherwani sb, Amber’s boss. What can we say about the hypocrisy of society? TeeTee wasn’t willing to accept a Hindu girl but happily used the same girl’s jewelry. Amber’s colleagues, who leave the lunchroom when she comes, wanted to have a share in an intimate relationship with her. An excellent watch and a profound story.

No the father died in shehram’s room and the request of shehram to take his father in his room was totally okay cuz he don’t wanna disturb his step mother and he’s shown really sensitive and caring so may be that’s the reason he requested his dad to sleep with him and he wants to spend more time with him cuz when he saw his father ill he got really sentimental and the last seen would not have been made if the father wasn’t in his room they just want to show the affection between a father and son which is being again and again highlighted in the drama and people like me are actually loving it

Working women is such a unique story telling that you feel numb. The reality shown in every episode skakes our soul because writer has shown it to us in such a way that it is not imposed on us yet we get into that role and feel each woman's pain, sorrows happiness and desires. Each woman was deceived by a man who were close to them. Except two who were little better then others and had to pay the price. Hypocrisy of our society was at its highest in this play. Shazia end was expected because how dare she challenge men who have big male ego and are the product of patriachy. I also get a message of sisterhood in this play. This is so important for women to understand in our feudal and patriarchal society. Closing the door of the house from outside says it all that society won't change so easily. Hatsbofc to Bee Gul, Yasra Rizvi, all female and male actors and the entire team. Thanks to Green Channel for showing us real and bold story

Jane Jahan: Visually it was very pleasing to watch. I love all the shots and scenes except the one where Hamza was scolding his younger brothers on the road and suddenly the crowd gathered. Qasim Ali Mureed has done an amazing job in direction. There was a difference between MH and JEJ visual vise. As far as the story was concerned, even though it was nothing new but it flew well. Hamza's character was very nice. Ayeza's kinda characters have a strong tendencies to turn annoying but she was dealt and acted better that it didn't become annoying. The father son duo was a treat to watch and a highlight of these 2 episodes. Sawera Nadeem's character was typical schematic and cunning. A major turn off for me as this can make the drama typical more than it is right now. The cast is the major reason to pull my interest. Story didn't amaze me much but let's see where it goes. Till now, it was a okay experience for 2 episodes

JJ: 1) Best part of the drama was Harris Waheed…he has the screen presence that many in his age bracket lack…2) I do wonder about parents who, despite the glaring red flags in a potential guy, will insinuate their daughter marry them…3) Ayeza’s doing a much better job here than in Mein…

Working Women: Just adding that TT also steals Asha's jewellery to pay for the Dubai job. Sadia's death left me with a punch in the gut! Though I was expecting the producer to hurt her so that she doesn't do the press conference, but it also could have been a hate crime for people acting against TikTokers. Nusee hitting her head on the door with "I ❤ Maa" on it in the 1st episode makes so much sense after she realizes that even her mother betrayed her for her obsession with her son who didn't even care to come for her funeral. I don't think Shafi has bought the house to help Nusee, only to spite her. It was a collective scheme of things by her brother, Shafi and Asha's family to corner both of them and Zulfi helped them too. Now she will continue to shelter Asha but I doubt it will be easy for them to survive. Amber ran away not just for her own safety but because her boss was also in danger for supporting her. I think Rosie and Hashmat will continue with their jobs as usual and they will find another place to live together.

Even though this kind of drama we have seen many times but I think it’s all about how the story is told, how it is executed and performed, first episode managed to excel by precisely striking the right chord. Its brilliance for the most part lies in capturing and conveying the essence of the narrative with precision. It’s too early to talk about chemistry as both lead roles has not yet shown in one frame. Indeed, Six Sigma Plus & Next Level Entertainment production serves as a testament to the power of straightforward and well-executed writing. It highlights that sometimes, simplicity and clarity in narrative construction are all it takes to captivate the audience’s attention.

jaan e jahan is another season of payare afzal for me, which happened in another era.. and both actors are looking the same as they were at that time .. loved shehram's caring attitude towards his father and asking his father to sleep in his room .. quite normal behaviour when there is a step mother in a house .. father's presence in his room is significant , his room is his own personal space, he wanted his father to come to his space and brighten it up with his presence, and both recall good memories of his mother, and he would have a chance to serve him alone, he is afraid of losing him thats why he wanted to fill the time with love and care. Fear of losing a parent is stronger in a person who lose one parent in childhood.

I respectfully disagree with Amna about Shehram’s character from jaan-e-jahan being odd. He lost his mother at a very young age. He is just protective about his father cause he doesn’t want to lose him like he lost his mother. Plus he asked his father to sleep in his room so his step mother is not disturbed and he gets a chance to care for his father overnight. I personally fell in love with Shehram’s character. It was so heart warming to see a male character so loving and caring for his parents and treating everyone with respect. I usually do not like many male characters in Pakistani dramas. Honestly, I didn’t even like Murtasim since he had way too much attitude and ego. For Murtasim, it was always “Meerab Meerab” and no one else which became super annoying for me. But Shehram is love ❤️

Jaan-e-Jahan: I know alot of people might not like what i have to say and it's only the first two episodes so I should probably give it some time but I was disappointed. Not necessarily by the performances they were great! I think the Sanjay Leela Bhansaali esk feel they wanted to create for the drama, they didn't succeed in that fully. I think Geo 7th sky entertainment could have done Justice to this Drama Alot more. Also the storyline was soooo generic the annoying father who think his daughter is only a burden. The plot and everything seemed so redundant and what was that scene when Hamza confronted his brother for harassing that girl the camera angles and all the random people standing in the background. How was that scene even approved? The only thing that can save it now is probably Hamza and Ayeza's chemistry. I really really hope it doesn't turn into that generic poor girl, rich guy, cruel mother in law story but that's the impression that i got from these two episodes.

@@975sarah , I have never found her convincing. Rather, she is way too overrated as an actress, according to me. Most ordinary female actress, no versatility at all. I know she has a huge fan following but There are far better Pakistani actresses than her, My personal take😊 Very very average for me.

So save your time and do your mental healths a favour and stop watching these dramas. They do take a toll on one eventually. I have been your sincere audince since 2019 but now i skip reviews of these dramas. Before i wouldn't skip a second. Think!!

Standup Girl - Loved it especially from Ep #2. It was a laugh riot! Sohail-ji was just amazing... I have loved Zara since her last drama and she has yet again proved to be a natural!... and every actor was just so much in the skin of their character! Big shout out to Saqib, who for a change doesnt appear to be a cunning mind but a "chamcha"/shagird of Sohail-ji and has performed this character mind blowingly... I hope the rhythm continues!... Con : The standup comedy was ANYTHING but comedy!... The dialogues were repetitive in that comedy snippet... The laugh was forcibly executed! ... Very curious to know if Kashif Nisar laughed at those two acts (college and friend's wedding) I wish they would get an actual standup comedian to write those stage acts... However, the writer is able to manage the one liners, like the, whole act of planning the lunch in Ep #2. Jaan-e-Jahaan : Absolutely watching it... As usual, Ayeza Khan, one of the most phenomenal actor... I have seen her interviews and in real life she comes across as chirpy and a bit talkative but when she wears these characters, she is just THEM! ... Glad to watch her in this role of a strong woman with right values.... Every actor was phenomenal... My apologies but I have never thought Humza to be a good actor, but just a star ...but the execution of this drama is so good, that even though they have not had a single scene together (non-technically), the anticipation of their chemistry is already creating sparks in our hearts...An emotionally strong woman with an emotionally vulnerable man who would protect her until his end! I think Ayesha and Humza have managed to lay the fundamentals for this love story well...However, I dont agree with Aamna that Humza's characterisation was with flaws... What I understood from the 2 episodes is that he is a son, very emotional about his parents & extremely obedient to them... He misses his mom & can do anything for his father because his Father is the only one endearing thing left in his life & the thought of loosing that last branch of life is unthinkable for him!... When my dad fell ill and was gng to be hospitalized the next day for his surgery, I slept in his room the previous night, just to ensure that I am there if he needs anything...My mom was not with us then... I totally warmed up to that gesture from Humza's character...And talking to his mom is his way of keeping her close... BTW, I was hoping that this show does not follow the BETA movie and the trailers don't lean towards that... still keeping the fingers crossed...

By watching jaan e jahan you can understand why it took from March to December to shoot it. Qasim has outdone himself. Ayeza’s duality as an actress is exemplary and the fact that Hamza is in the drama is enough for me to watch it alone. It’s an aam si kahani with extremely appealing execution. To say I’m impressed is an understatement

Agreed with both of you on working women. Everyone can point out issues and problems ongoing in our society but being solution oriented is the key. Though it was realistic, it kind of left that unfulfilled feeling. Also watching standup girl, 2nd episode was like an answer for Zara’s question😅😂 looking forward to more.

Jan e jahan- the first episode couldn't hook me, i felt the same things Aamna mentioned, i didnt watch the second episode but while watching your review, you guys started talking about the second episode, I was intrigued, so I paused the review there and watched the second episode and actually enjoyed it better than the first, looking forward to next week. I personally feel the reason they showed Hamza's character in a clingy light was, his dad had to die, so there had to be ebough for us to believe that he was distraught by his dad's death. I dont understand why even there was a third son in the mix, Raza Talish has barely any dialogues, he fails to impress me so far, he looks more like Haris's sidekick than brother. If Savera nadeems character wouldn't have mention she had two sons i would have thought he was a friend lol

Tabraiz was about to manipulate the situation ke ave sheram ne beech saraq zaleel kiya par chota bhai ke moo se slip ho jata ha ke larki chair raha tha etc to eventually the idea fails. Also vo manager or gaari wali scene ma aise bachay/ larkay apni ego ma subconsciously manager ko jhirak diya avaz unchi karli without consciously thinking about the consequences. Honestly i loved the character of tabraiz ❤ his aesthetics jis tarha ke uske age ha nature ha all his doings are making sense.

Here for Standup Girl only. Green TV is not being praised and valued as much as it deserves for bringing out such different stories instead of churning out same stories with different faces like other channels. Green TV has brought another amazing drama in the form of Standup Girl. Couldn't stop laughing. Great cast, great acting, great writing. On the other hand, seemingly very predictable story of Jaan-e-Jahan. I'm not as hooked as I was expecting to be.

Working women: I was feeling so agitated after watching the last episode. I wish they had given us some hope. I don't know where I heard this but someone said that at the end WW will give us solutions to these problems and I was expecting things to magically get better. It just broke my heart. Each and every track was pushed into a dismal abyss. One Nossi character who was educated and had a proper job and her own house who was providing every other woman in the drama the strength and support is robbed off her house... and she too is as helpless now as the others. The message of the drama is that anyone who is fighting should stop because in the end you will be betrayed, rattled, shaken and left in the street to die.

Honestly the criticism for casting actors too old for their roles should lie on directors no? Maybe the directors and writers need to age up their characters. Why don't PTV writers and directors show older women? Like girls above 23 doesn't exist istg I find this super weird. There are only 2 types of roles below 20 and mothers written for women. So I understand their choice of choosing 20 year old rather than playing mother. Also Every other drama is about trying to get 20 years old married do the whole of pakistan does not have 25 year women? I think it would be foolish for actors to refuse a big project that brings in money. So why dont the writers do better.

Working women: The alternate ending could be that TT didn’t steal Asha’s jewellery, and when everyone is rendered homeless, she could’ve used that to buy/rent a place for all 4 of them. I believe that TT running away and betraying Asha was bad enough and showing him steal the jewellery also was extremely distasteful. All 4 girls moving to a new house using Asha’s resources and building a new livelihood in probably a new city would’ve been the ray of hope that was missing in the current ending.
