Constantine put pressure on the churches to accept the Roman calendar because Roman business revolved around the Roman calendar. The councils could have left the Jewish days alone in congregations but no they had to declare the observance anathema. The churches as a result started conforming to the Roman world.

I read in the Torah about how there was a mixed multitude at Sinai. Walking with Moshe. God didn't didn't make any distinction, he called them all Bnei'Yisra'El. Gentiles therefore upon leaving their lives of pagan worldliness become grafted into the family of Bnei'Yisra'El, and I read in the Torah, how these 'festivals' are commanded Shabbatoth. So as is written in Acts about How it's required to circumsise and obey the Torah, we know that Yeshua is the Salvation but we become imitators of Him out of Love for Elohim. When you come into the faith, you are no longer gentile according to scripture. Or am I wrong? After the truth was revealed to me I Love keeping these Shabbatoth, even the non commanded ones that celebrate key Historical events ( Hannukah). When I read Maccabees I am proud, I am looking at an example of how to reject darkness and compromise, and live a life set apart to the Glory of Elohim. I may not be Jewish, but I believe The Scriptures and belief, TRUE belief equals works. Shalom to you all at First fruits of Zion.
