I like a lot the girl at 2:44, in black and with the pony tail. She explains very well the differences of cultures, with very specific examples, and at the same time she has a good understanding of how things are for foreigners in a non judgemental way, but having clear what she prefers. It seems she has the traditional values of her country but at the same time she is very understanding (I think being an understanding person is much more valuable than the so call "open-mind" people, I mean, "open mind" people in the surface they look liberal but most of the times they are very closed in their views and don't want to understand the way other people live). So I like the way she exposes her views. A good insight into Korea.

New questions are needed other than would you date a foreigner. I'd like to know what these younger Koreans do for work, how they feel about work/life balance in Korea. How do they feel about stereotypes of Koreans and their culture like bullying/school violence/ the perception that they all follow each other to fit in and that plastic surgery is rampant. What do they truly think of idols and idol life? What do they recommend foreigners must do when they visit Korea etc. What do they think of military service? Etc etc etc. Just not the will-you-date-us-please content 😴

Interesting questions
@DfddFdf-c7m6 ай бұрын
1 Work and life balance Before marriage for men, the proportion of their lives is higher than work, and for women, the proportion of work is higher than their lives, but after marriage, the opposite is true. That's why men seem to avoid marriage. 2 School violence This is greatly exaggerated due to subculture. This was true in the 90s. However, Korean teenagers these days are weak because they only study. Most of the fights among students are childish arguments, and even men, like women, only fight with words. 3 Plastic surgery This is true for women. 4 k pop idols Most Koreans are indifferent to K-pop idols. Essentially, K-pop idols are a culture for foreigners and teenage girls, and Koreans over the age of 25 don't know their names. (Korea's music market is small, and ballads and R&B are the mainstream. That's why K-pop companies focus on overseas activities.) Even BTS feels like they're famous just because they're famous.

4 Foreigners visit Korea To be honest, Koreans do not like domestic travel. 5 I am a former Air Force soldier. Most importantly, the treatment of soldiers in Korean society is worse than in the United States. It's at the Russian level.

K-pop idol song lyrics contain more English words than Korean words and are songs for shorts, reels, and TikTok. This created a distance between the public and idols. The song Baemyanggaeng, which is popular in Korea, has no English words and is a calm song. So, although it is not popular abroad, it is very popular in Korea.

I agree. You’ve done this question a few times already. Also, Korean women are open to dating foreigners. I’ve seen the previous videos on your channel.
@jamesdeen2256 ай бұрын
Don't forget gents what women saying and what they do completely opposite things. The biggest fear of all women around the world is to be judge and excluded from their social circle. In Asian countries relationship with foreigners usually will be the issue. Of course there will be exceptions but in general good women always will go for their nation as a first choice
@Jan382756 ай бұрын
Then the same should also be true for the men. Korea already had the lowest birth rate in the world and many women already plan on having no children. Many Korean men date/marry foreigners too, much more than Korean women. Seems there’s people that just huate Korean women date/marry foreigners for some reason, it’s not about preserving the Korean race or keeping Korea homogenous.
@Jan382756 ай бұрын
not that I care or want Korean women date foreigners or not but I’ve seen how outraged some Asian men online get if they think Asian women trying to gatekeep or shame them (and I’m against that too.) Yet I’ve seen far more shaming or trying to gatekeep Asian or Korean women as well as hateful comments on videos related to this topic than the reverse. Getting angry if Asian women do it (or suspecting it), but doing the same thing they hate and there’s a lot more of it. That’s what makes me angry. I also noticed Asian women don’t get anywhere near as outraged as Asian men do or they don’t pay attention to it. Edit: Maybe I should take back some of what I said. It's just that on this channel and a few others channels I kept seeing some negative or hateful sentiment comments whenever this topic came up, it wasn't the majority but it didn't happen on the Korean guy versions. And it's not because Korean women were absent on this channel, there were some Korean women commenting. There was a comment on this video that said "and yet their international marriage rate keeps falling lol" that was a top comment for a short while, and it looks like that person deleted their comment. Idc about Korean women (or men) marrying foreigners, I don't think see it as a positive (or negative) thing They should focus on their country issues and abysmally low birth rate really. But if you keep wanting to gatekeep purely for mean reasons, it gives the opposite feeling even if they initially preferred to date their own men/women in the first place. The reason I say I take some of it back is because maybe I was wrong, on some big viral videos I saw some comments by Korean women making generalizations about Korean men and that they will never date them. There's also top upvoted comment "Koreans can't win miss world titles lol" on the same video where they put top likes "this is why I heard korean women married nonkorean men" Comments like that get so easily mass upvoted for some reason. It's just easy to bash korea so as long as it's not about them. I didn't mean to say Korean women are innocent and don't racist against their own men and gatekeep, it's just that this lurking obsessive hate online is mostly a male thing. Also I want to say I don't think most asian women try to gatekeep their men as much as some asian men think, most don't seem to care actually it's a large minority I would say. If I’m wrong about something please reply.

Most Asian dudes are open to dating foreigners, and a lot of them want to try it, but the real question is are they willing to approach foreigners and go through the hassle, and that's where the numbers drop dramatically. In theory, foreign girls could approach them, and it does happen , but overwhelmingly it doesn't happen.
@user-cnksi2236 ай бұрын
Asia is a very large region and is home to a very large number of people. Even within East Asia, people's styles vary from country to country, so how can we generalize about 'Asian men'? And in general, Korean men don't have a hard time dating foreigners if they want to. However, most people believe that they cannot seriously date someone with whom there is a linguistic or cultural barrier. And Koreans are usually busy dating other Koreans. Unpopular men in Korea usually have a tendency to date foreign women. (In fact, this phenomenon is also observed in Western countries) And men with unusual jobs (those working in entertainment or the arts) or men who frequent clubs are more open to dating foreigners.

I think this whole dating foreigners especially from Korea are for those residing in Korea. The culture is not what you could say compatible to western countries, if some try to make it work then yeah good for them, but it simply means its not for the majority, no matter how open minded. I also think Koreans are idealizing dating with western people too much as they likely do not understand on what to expect and what to give up on. But Asians dating other Asians are likely having an easier time to relate because of the countries proximity being closer to one another..

•DATING IN GREECE In my country, dating is a bit less complicated (if you manage to get a date) than in other countries. 1)You ask the girl out. That could also be a very ambiguous lets go for coffee. You express interest not love. 2)If it goes well you start texting often and go on more dates (often unlike Korea could also be once a day) 3)You get intimate, that could be as soon as the 2nd date (3rd is the average). 4)Its generally assumed that since you are consistently dating and talking and are intimate that you are exclusive and are a couple. Yes most people talk about about it at this point in order to be clear. BUT if you dont say anything and the other person also dates someone else at the same time, thats a MASSIVE NO. Its assumed that it is exclusive from the start, unless agreed otherwise. Greek society and dating scene is very open and flirty but as soon as you start dating someone its very rare for people to date another. Unlike both American and Korean culture. I'm very proud of my country for this.

Nationality doesn't matter, it's cuz you're ethnically East-Asian, a Malay Singaporean obviously would not get that. A Malay Singaporean would probably get treated similiar to a filipino, despite being from a significantly higher-reputation country. Which goes to show ethnicity>nationality.

I'm also over 6' tall, but I don't view grown men who are 175cm as 'little kids'. (For reference, the average height of black Americans in their 20s and 30s is 176cm. In fact, on a global basis, there are not many countries where the average height is over 175cm.) It seems like he takes too much pride in his height because he has nothing to boast about other than his height. lol jk And as a side note, in the past, on a Korean broadcast, a woman received great criticism for saying, 'All men who are below 6' are losers.' Since then, women tend to be cautious when talking publicly about a man's height. but In reality, in Korea, 175cm is just the average height, so it is not considered tall.
